This issue appears similar to New problem with IPTV channels in NZ (nextpvr.com) for Prime / Sky Open which was fixed with subs update (for me and others)

However, TV Three now appears to have a similar issue where the stream fails to transcode successfully, and you end up with a video stream but no audio stream.  It's not consistently an issue, but usually after the 3rd attempt at watching TV Three directly from the TV Guide it will fail.  Recording sessions are the real issue though, as you don't know when they fail, so no chance for a retry.

For what its worth I also tried to increase the AnalyzeDuration setting in config however that didn't seem to make a difference.

I'm using Matt Huisman's IPTV kodi files (thanks Matt)

I'm using Version: 6.1.5.231022 of NextPVR (thanks sub)

Logs attached.

Duplicate of an ongoing thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=65253 but I am noticing something slight different here conflicting values are being sent.

-user_agent "VLC/2.2.6 LibVLC/2.2.6" -headers "user-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/98.0.4758.102 Safari/537.36"

In this case too ffmpeg is finding an audio channel in every test

2023-12-23 08:14:24.122 [DEBUG][22] [FFMPEG]: Stream #0:0: Video: h264 (Main) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], q=2-31, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn
2023-12-23 08:14:24.122 [DEBUG][22] [FFMPEG]: Stream #0:1: Audio: aac (LC) ([15][0][0][0] / 0x000F), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 140 kb/s

Could you also make a short sample recording available on external storage like GoogleDrive or OneDrive?

NextPVR is distributing ffmpeg an old version v5 with Windows, you might want to try upgrading that.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes I did see the other post but it seemed to have been resolved with subs fix?

I upgraded ffmpeg to version 6.1. This actually seems to make the transcoding more successful as it only failed once in about 15 attempts to stream TV Three. Previously it failed after 2-3 attempts.

I'll upload a short clip with the issue when I can get it to fail during recording.

There is more one thread on the problems with the mjh.nz URLs so it does get confusing. Sub's fix is only for Prime from what I understand.

The current issues do seem to be ffmpeg related.

Here is a short clip without audio https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GHXgERf...sp=sharing

And associated logs attached (start from the bottom)

I must say, it seems that ads trip up the transcoding quite often.

Ok yes that is failing even with ffmpeg 6 and shows the symptoms from the other thread on why it won't play in the browser

2023-12-23 09:45:51.822 [DEBUG][99] [FFMPEG]: To ignore this, add a trailing '?' to the map.

I don't know what value goes in here in config.xml

<AnalyzeDuration>default</AnalyzeDuration>

but maybe that help. Sub would need to document that.

I had previously tried this option <AnalyzeDuration>default</AnalyzeDuration>

Its in micro seconds so 1000000 is ten seconds (I've tried from 10 - 60 seconds) but it fails still. The default is 5 seconds.

EDIT:
After messing around for a few hours it seems the issue is specific to some TV Three program content and not others. During the last hour I simply can't get TV Three to transcode at all, whereas in the hour previous it would only fail occasionally, even though TV1, TV2, Sky Open are all fine during this period

I'm now not sure upgrading ffmpeg has made any difference.
