Makes some sense the router may allow for user defined IP starting at 200

NextPVR sees things correctly now "LocalIP": "192.168.0.199", so let's hope things work out.

You might want to go to the SD forum to see if setting a "fixed" IP on your storage unit is recommended.

Cheers Martin! I did a forum search and looked thru the SD Guides but did not find anything on a static ip for the storage device. So I'll ask.

However, my device storage is an Internal Hard Drive which is connected to the internal SATA host. Wouldn't that be more of an issue with a NAS device?

Apologies if I am misunderstanding. Again, not a networking expert.

I don't know but it is still a server and server's should typically be a fixed IP. If it is a PC you can always set a static IP directly.

Martin, after all *our* (b/c you put in nearly as much effort as me, it seems, thanks!) hard work, I thought you would be amused to know that my latest scheduled recordings of my favourite show...did not work out!

Next PVR worked fine, it was the network that hosed me, because CBS changed their schedule at the last moment and bumped the entire prime time slot by 20 mins! There was furious reworking of the schedule yesterday, including a blank 1 hour time slot at one point, and all the services (TV guide, zap 2 it, Schedules Direct) had it wrong b/c of the dang state of the union & response running long!

Just found it LOL funny (well, sad really but you've got to laff sometimes instead of crying) that after all the work to assure NextPVR was working right in time to record my fav show, that the fates stepped in to hose me. Guess I'll have to but the episode on itunes! lol
