I tried to disable the time-shift and use the Real Time and in fact the channel change on the radios is very fast 2/3 seconds

Silicondust said 15 character firmware limit and only 7 for ATSC 1.

Also all Marvi's "VideoCodec": "HEVC", were also stored as type 1 and Silicondust says that is what is used for ATSC 3 and not "H265". This changed since sub and I first looked at ATSC 3 . No real harm in the US since everything is LAV now for NextPVR.exe and ATSC 3 things are largely DRM and almost always AC-4 which NextPVR.exe can't decode anyway but it should be changed for DVB/NextPVR.exe users.

I've fixed the HEVC vs H265 thing for the next build. This is unlikely to have caused any problems though.

I think ATSC 1 was 14 bytes. (2 bytes per unicode character though)

Marvi could you temporary replace your pvr.nextpvr.dll with the attached, assuming you are on Kodi 21.  Basically it tells Kodi that it is realtime for the first 10 seconds. This seems to play radio from you capture much faster and it still allows timeshift.

Hi Martin. Sorry if I waited a bit to answer but I wanted to do some tests. First of all I downloaded the plugin for kodi directly from Jenkins as you suggested with your link, and actually the radios work much better, the wait for the channel change from 30 seconds before.. Now it is about 5 seconds, I would say acceptable. But that's not all, since I started using NextPVR I have always had (you will remember that I had already told you about it in another discussion) buffering problems with the TV, with this new plugin that I tried "pvr.nextpvr-21.1.1" it seems.. at the moment, that problem has also disappeared. So with the new plugin two problems have been solved. Anyway I will continue to do some tests and then I will let you know, thank you very much for your/your work.

Great, it sounsd like Kodi buffers differently in real time mode, vs timeshift. If that is the case then several users will be happy with the initial real time buffering.

Hi Martin/Sub, I'm reviving this post after installing the recent update to version 7 of NextPVR because the radios are still mixed with the TV channels, so there is still the problem of separating the 2 systems..

Hi Martin, I wonder.. Does it make sense, perhaps, to rescan the radio and TV channels in NextPVR?
