Channels keep Changing Randomly

I will sometimes get random channel changes to random channels. All channels have already been scanned. For example I load up the NextPVR Web app and put it on channel 8.1. Then after about 20 seconds of viewing it changes itself to another random channel. I change it back. It changes itself again over and over. 

I tried both Edge and Chrome and reloaded it, no change. However now that I left it closed for a few hours I tried it again and it seems fine now. It's staying on the same channel. This isn't the first time though, so it's a recurring thing.

I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250.

You can't watch TV and do at OTA EPG update at the same time, during these 17 minutes you tried numerous times so I suspect that is what you were "seeing"

ATSC EPG updating is being improved for the next version, I expect it might block you from viewing at that to make it clearer. Generally because the OTA guide quality is week, people use alternatives like Schedules Direct. Seeing as you are only getting between 2 and 10 shows in the scan, you might want to think about that.

I'm showing 103 channels and I never clicked to scan or update or anything. I literally just loaded it up, clicked on channels, and clicked on channel 8.1 then the software changed itself. If the software is trying to update itself after not being used for a while that's fine, but it shouldn't change off of channels that were previously scanned.

Looking closer the reason that it did the EPG Update is your PC is not resuming from sleep at the scheduled time so it starts the EPG update when you are manually waking up the PC.

You need to configure Windows sleep properly on your PC, NextPVR only tells the PC to wakeup. Sorry I can't give you guidance on that but there a lots of posts here on doing there.

Based on what I saw if you do an EPG update in 2:44am by the time you turn in on in the evening all your data will gone. So you might as well remap the all to None and live without a guide for now.

Yeah, I don't really care about having the channel guide. I didn't quite get what you were saying about remapping all to none....but I did seem to find a work around fix. I set the number of seconds to 50,000 under Settings > Guide > DVB/ATSC EPG Setup settings

I was saying set the guide data to None since it isn't waking up to do a EPG update so as soon as you wake the PC it starts one and then your tuners don't work Increasing it to 50,000 is ridiculous, your tuner will never be available, that is 50,000 per channel. (I didn't even know that setting was available outside config.xml)
