The only thing in settings is what channels can show.  Is there a special way to bring up the real client settings menu?  I've never seen anything like this, so I am assuming I am just clueless.  -Bill

I wish it was adjustable, but I'd be happy if it was just changed to be shorter - 30 sec forward and 10 seconds back. For longer skips, the trackpad works well.

The current skips (60+, 30-), which I use only for skipping through ads, are so long that I typically skip well past the ads, have to fiddle with it back and forth and end up watching 15-20 seconds of ads anyway. With MrMC (abandoned and super buggy Kodi fork), I spend a couple of seconds skipping and never have more than a second or two of ads.

I think you can adjust the skip settings in config.xml on your NextPVR server.

Code:
<SkipForwardSeconds>60</SkipForwardSeconds>
<SkipBackSeconds>30</SkipBackSeconds>
<SkipFFSeconds>10</SkipFFSeconds>
<SkipRWSeconds>10</SkipRWSeconds>
<FFRWBehaviour>Short Skip</FFRWBehaviour>
<LeftRightBehaviour>Long Skip</LeftRightBehaviour>

Thanks! I'm going to try that now.

Is there a way to invoke "SkipFFSeconds" and "SkipRWSeconds" with an appletv remote?

Nope. Tried it. No impact on TVos app. I even restarted the backend and the TVos app.

Those settings aren't used on the Apple TV app.

For those that are using recording thumbnails, the next build has the ability to skip by thumbnails.

Adjusting skip time in the iOS client is super simple once you know where to look. Head into Settings, find the playback or player options, and tweak the skip forward/backward seconds to your preference. It’s a small change, but it really improves control.bhulekh up
