Hi there, I just upgraded from 6.1.5 to 7.0.1 and now in the desktop app a single press of left or right doesn't navigate to the next or previous program. Up and down moves fine to the channel above or bellow but left or right requires a double press.

I've rebooted and emptied the EPG but it didn't fix it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm guessing the guide data is doubled up. Start by posting the zipped logs and then sub probably will need you npvr.db3 database on an external link.

Ok thanks. Shall I try deleting the database and setting up from scratch? I notice now as well not all scheduled shows have a red background.

npvr.db3 was 11.4MB pre upgrade and 17.8MB post upgrade is that normal?

Emptying the EPG should be fine.

I'm guess the size difference would be the doubled up entries but that is why the external link will be necessary to look at it.

Is the v6.1.5.231022 installer still available so I can rollback for now?

There is no installer for a specific version. The database does show duplicate entries though.

Perhaps try this workaround https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid597938 Goto to Settings->Guide and hit the gear and untick all the frequencies but one. Let us know if that helps. I haven't been tracking that issue but it is something for sub to look at.

You've cracked it, unticked all but one frequency, didn't empty EPG because I forgot and ran the EPG update, fixed. Many thanks Martin.

I think it would be handy to be able to roll back to a fully functional version if there are problems. I was panicing a bit earlyer. Maybe rename the NPVR.zip on the server to add the version number to it before uploading the new version. Then it can be manually downloaded if needed. It's easy then to test a new version and roll back if you need a fully functional stable install to do some recording, then when convenient you can upgrade again and continue testing.

Thanks again.

You are free to create your own backup strategy. The issue is sub doesn't guarantee that changes are reversible so you need to backup all your data files in NPVR-data too and no doubt users will try anyway. It also makes it too easy to install an old version rather trying to address issues that might crop up and although sub has been busy and updates don't come as frequently as some would like there are often explanations like that other user posted that helps use with workarounds.

Totally agree. I thought I did have a backup strategy having made a copy of NPVR-Data. It was only when I realised the old installer wasn't available I started to panic with just a hour before recordings needed to start. I do understand though not everyone will know to do that or even be interested in troubleshooting and will just sit on older versions. I'm always willing to help troubleshoot and move a project forward, it's the least I can do, but sometimes there are time constraints and you just need a working setup in the short term before going back to troubleshooting. In this case luckily recordings were still working and you then found a workaround very quickly but it can't be guaranteed that will always be the case. Going forward I've saved a copy of NPVR.zip to provide a rollback option if it's needed.

Thank you again to sub, yourself and everyone who contributes, I know the amount of work it takes and it's truly appreciated. If I can do anything to assist with this issue when sub has some free time I'd be happy to.
