Wake the computer using Hauppauge remote

Hi,
As most of you know, my PC goes into hibernation when it's not recording or in use for watching etc.

Has anyone of you achieved waking the PC from hibernation using the remote (the Hauppauge one preferably) with no or only very little extra hardware?

Its not the remote, its the reciever thats the problem.

I built the uirt2 (u could buy the usbuirt) that has 4 functions that can be performed when the computer is off.

It can memorize (on the reciever's onboard chip) 4 remote codes and can perform various functions. I use one to start my computer (same a pushing the button on the front).

can you explain how it's done ?
I can order the USB-UIRT from a website, but then ?
I have a IR extender (sender) next to my TV, the receiver is next to the HTPC in the basement.

I would like to be able to wake up the HTPC with the HP remote.

Is it possible with a MCE2005 remote kit (remote + USB receiver) ?

Can you give me some details ?
