Is there any way to get live TV to show as letterboxed (16:9 ) when running fullscreen on a 4:3 display? It seems whatever I try the picture fills the screen when running GB-PVR yet appears correctly letterboxed if I run the WinTV2000 application.

Any advice appreciated,

Thanks

The ability to change the aspect ratio was added to the last release, but I can't remember the key as I don't use it - I think it's one of the function keys (F5? F9?), but a quick search of the forum should yield the answer.

Hope this helps.

It's F7 I think.

You can also use programs like ffdshow to program some behaviors like that. I have mine making sure to 4:3 TV, and using default ratio for everything else (whatever the file was encoded at).

Does it use FFDSHOW with LiveTV? I thought it was just for playback or video files and DVDs?

You can set up rules/beahviors to react to media in ffdshow. I've never used the "use ffdshow" options in GB, so I don't know how it works in the other direction. I have it minding media as it is played.

It was F7 and it seems to work, however when using VMR9 the image seems to shrink up to the top left two thirds of the screen, and sometimes show old frames around it. VMR7 works but I'm getting some tearing in full screen mode. I have a 6600GT so the card should be fine for full screen VMR9, do I need to re-install DirectX 9.0 or something?

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks
