Can someone please write one set of concise instructions for installing comskip and xvert, so I can simply import the file to womble, and have it do it's thing?
I understand that I need comskip, not comskiphelper, and xvert, but what exactly do I need in postprocessing.bat?
Can I run this AFTER renamerecording, or must it go before? (It would suck if it has to go first, because the output file wouldn't know what file to work with once renamed, no?

Thanks tipster.

My postprocessing.bat:
Quote:RenameRecording.exe %1 > RenameRecording.log
X V E R T.exe %1
And that's it?
Does the womble work file end up in the recording folder?
Will this work after renamerecording (I hope so)?

OK, I just finished a show, with the postprocessing.bat exactly as you have it.
The show renamed fine (using the old renamerecordinG), but no comskip nothing...
I must be missing something here.
Do I need CDK scheduler installed, or some other combination of something, in some folder?
Where does comskip put (or supposed to put) it's output file?
I ended up with a .wme file in the gbpvr folder. No name on it, just .wme
Opened my recording in womble, then loaded the .wme project...now what?
WTF?
None of this works.

Update. It seems that comskip, nor xvert are running at all, ever.
I updated to renamerecordingS...gonna run another test.

I'll try that...let you know in 1/2 an hour.
Seems xvert just doesn't DO anything.
I would really love to get the output for womble.
Going to run a test with just comskip, to see if IT actually does anything.
I have a feeling that xvert is looking for comskip.exe wrong, maybe with a capital C or something simple...I just don't know enough about programming.
Thanks for your help and ideas so far, if you have any luck, let me know.

Seems comskip isn't running properly.
I got it to run on ONE file, and output a .log and .txt by using comskiphelper. I thought comskiphelper would run on ALL files in the recordings folder...
Cannot get xvert to do anything at all.
WTF do I need to get comskip to run (on all my files) and output the womble project file?

Just finished a recording. I missed if comskip ran or not, but there was a .wme file created, again with no name, just .wme
Inside it was a # symbol...that's it.
Would it be possible to have xvert run comskiphelper.exe and see if that works?

I'm tempted to just try the old bat code in that other thread, but substitute comskip for comskiphelper...

Anything, whatever it takes to get this working! It will (when it works) take hours off the time needed to get these shows archived to disk.

Is there a way to generate a log of xvert to see what's NOT happening?

Xvert called comskip, and generated the log and txt in the recording folder, then output another no named .wme in the gbpvr folder, with the # in it.
I'm going to try the original .bat from the other post.

Reboot,

XVERT does currently not accept names with spaces because I made a mistake in my script used for XVERT.
From the other thread I understood that you have the postprocessing.bat with my updated script running so this message is for the other readers.

The .bat works, but xvert.exe does not.
Want to figure that one out?
And now renamerecording doesn't work, yet I have it in the next line after :EOF in the postprocessing.bat
