If you're one of the many PVR350 users that encounters hard system lockups when using the TV out, could you possibly try the newest Hauppauge drivers and let me know how you get on? You can get them from:

ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/downloa....inf.zip

The release notes for these drivers contain two particular items that make me wonder if they might help this problem:

Driver Release 1.18.021.22247 (09/03/2004)
* IRQL-safe DMA improvements.

Driver Release 1.18.021.22237 (08/24/2004)
* Newer, better firmware.
* DMA improvements.

Also, can you try it against the new v0.21.4 release.

Thanks.

Just upgraded to 1.18.021.22247...

No lock ups with the OSD....

Previous drivers would freeze after 5-10 seconds of playing video!

Hoooray!

Do you know what you need to do to make sure the old drivers are uninstalled first?

shs quite oftens posts full instructions on his forums. Multiple hwcclears, registry searches, etc... You might need to look on his site for instructions for this. I'd just be making it up.

I cleaned the old drivers and apps off and installed the new drivers and then reinstalled ir.exe but now I get an "Failed to initialized IR device" message when it runs. Any ideas?

Hey,
I downloaded the new drivers installed them and it says i now have a WinTV PVR PCI II instead of my wintv 350.  When I try to load GBPVR I get an error that says it can't find my wintv 350.

Any ideas? I clicked the link in the forum, is that the link to the wrong drivers?

Thanks

Hi,
I got the drivers to intall correctly after a few tries. I used HWclear to take off the drivers (force driver reinstall) and reinstalled the drivers I had and rebooted. Then I went to device manager and updated the driver using the newest set, and rebooted. This worked, I dunno what went wrong.

GB-PVR seems to be working well via Tv-out, i'm really pumped.

Sub, you rule.

Thanks.
