Hi,

I have buy MCE2005 because it is a WINXP PRO for 100 EURO.
But now I have problems with my PVR350 under GB-PVR (0.92.8).
I can install the PVR350 and the PVR150MCE.
For the PVR350 only the retail driver works for install, the PVR250MCE driver not.

After installing GB-PVR I use my MDB from the old W2K installation and all looks fine.
But GB-PVR can only record with the PVR150MCE, the PVR350 produce a empty file.

The TV-OUT works also without problems.

What is the difference between W2K PRO and WINXP MCE2K5.
How can I record with my PVR350 under WINXP MCE2K5

Regards,
Holger

It sounds like you've configured your capture devices incorrectly.

You need to set up two capture sources. On set to device #1, one set to device #2. Its hard to predict which is which, so you'll probably need to try both possible combinations.

Hi Sub,

but this configuration works fine under WIN2K PRO (more than 6 months).
The PVR150MCE can record and the PVR350 TV Out works also with WINXP MCE2005.
The only problem is to record with the PVR350.

Is it possible, that the devices are swapped from WIN2K PRO to WINXP MCE2005?
If YES, why can the PVR150MCE record with the PVR350 device information?

Regards,
Holger

Yes, thats what I'm suggesting.

Just try swapping them. It might not help, but its easy enough to be worth trying.

Hi Sub,

I have swapped the devices but then the PVR150MCE can not record and the PVR350 TV OUT doesn’t work an no card can record.

The best config is:
- PVR350 TV OUT work
- PVR150MCE can record
- PVR350 produce empty files.

I tested a longer blag.mpg file in the GBPVR directory, but without a positive effect.

Regards,
Holger

You'll either have something configured incorrectly, or the device drivers aren't properly installed.

Set up a test that shows both devices trying to record, then email your logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. Include a link back to this post.

Hi,

shame on me Rolleyes

There are to services in WIN XP MCE2K5: ehrecvr & ehesched

After stopping this services the PVR350 works without problems.

Holger (the hardhead)
