Can't playback network mp3's

I have a linux server hosting all of my mp3's. When I was using the MediaMVP services, I had to run as a local user in order to access the shares via windows network.

Can I do the same with the GBPVR?

Currently I have the GB-PVR setup using the DirectV serial cable, hence I am having to have the the GB-PVR Recording Service 'Log On' as Local System and have the setting: 'Allow service to interact with desktop' set.

With the MediaMVP Service, I had to have the service 'Log On' as a local user. Which is in contrast to what the GB-PVR needs for the DTV serial control.

Any help would be appreciated.

I recall a topic on this a few months back, I can't seem to find it by searching yet.. However I seem to recall you must setup the same rights or perhaps
you shoud change your Samba config for RO guest access. I think that's what I'm going to do.
