I've recently just installed Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I have the cable to the outlet connected to a cable splitter, splitting the cable to my modem and to my hauppauge tv-pvr 250MCE. Whenever I click the Live TV option in Gbpvr an error pops up that displays my system information and has a section called Application data with a bunch of letters below it. Any Ideas on whats wrong? and I do have the 250 MCE drivers installed.

The actual error message or a screenshot would help.

this is what I get

"OS: Windows XP Home Edition, SP2
CPU: GenuineIntel, Intel Pentium 4, MMX @ 8780 MHz

Application data:
VmVyc2lvbjogVVVKZFExQlRWbHRFVFVOSFF5c29PU2M1QndBNkpUOCt
MVzk3WjJOck1DRWpQeU1rTTBGeGVIQjBaWE01DQpJbWFnZUJhc2U6ID
IwQkEwMDAwDQpFaXA6IDIwRjgxMDc2DQpFYXg6IDRENjdFRkVDDQpFY
3g6IDIwRjgzMDE4DQpFZHg6IDANCkVieDogMjBERDA1NjgNCkVzaTog...etc.."

another weird thing that happens is that when I tried to record a show, it would record, i could even watch the show as it recorded. But then another strange thing happened when I went back to live TV. the error was now "error: object etc.. (the object reference error). But after a while it went back to the first error that I got.

hmmm but it seem after gb-pvr crashes the icon in the system tray is green saying the live tv priview is showing, if I turn this feature off I can watch TV, but why can't I use it now if I've used it before? and the video has lines whenever anything moves on TV.

You're pulling my leg right? I've never heard of anything like that, so you're on your own there.

With the live preview option enabled, try setting the deinterlacing setting to none. If live tv still doesnt start, disable live preview mode.
