Hi

Has anyone tested GB-PVR on a DigiTV PCI with the new BDA drivers from Nebula?

http://www.nebula-electronics.com/Downlo...rivers.asp

It would be worth getting in touch with Nebula to see if they've tested with GB-PVR or if you can work together to get it working.

Really? I have been wondering about them recently!

Assuming I can talk some sense into them, what sort of cooperation/information do you need from them to get GBPVR working?

To be honest, they're probably not needed to get it going. You just need to add a small section to the bda.ini file. The appropriate names for this section can be found using GraphEdit.

I had also asked them if they have DVB-S versions of their devices. A device would get better support from me if there is a DVB-S model, since I'm in a country that doesnt use DVB-T.

Is there an idiots guide on here to editing the bda.ini and how to get the right information out of GraphEdit? I'll have a crack myself.

No, but if you search for bda.ini you should find a few clues. Its pretty straight forward.

Installed the drivers according to Nebula.
No sign of Nebula drivers or hardware listed in GB-PVR Config dropdown menu for BDA devices so I tried Haupauge / Pinacle / twinham etc, No Joy.

I have now Rolled Back these drivers to restore Nebula DigiTV operation.

Did you actually read the posts above? The Nebula device wont show up until a new section is added to the bda.ini file.

Hi

Here is the entry I've added to my bda.ini for the new Nebula BDA drivers.

[Nebula PCI BDA DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Nebula DigiTV BDA Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=Nebula DigiTV BDA Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=Input0
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I can scan for and finds some channels ( though less than I usually get with the Nebula supplied s/w) I get sound and video in the preview window. But I get an error trying to watch live TV or record. Mind you the drivers are only Beta and Nebula report problems when used with ShowShifter.

Sub, here is a snippet of the log produced, can you make anything of this? FYI I'm using Win2k and the cyberlink multiplexor. I also have an ATI 550 pro installed which I've been using successfully with GBPvr for a couple of weeks.
BTW top program Sub! Smile
