cdk scheduler not running after scheduler

Ok, i'm new to PVR and i have GBPVR installed and running. i have been trying varioius plugins without a hitch, except... Cdk scheduler and xrecord have been a bear! I have them both loaded and can schedule shows from every point (ie, find fast, xrecord, guide2j); all of them show up in the scheduler after i set up. That is as far as it goes, none show up in pending or recurring-thus no recording of shows.

Now i have been playing around with PriorityRecording.exe and when i manually go in and run that my scheduals show up in pending. Is this how it works?

Could someone guide me on what im missing. I have searched the fourms for hours and found nothing. I have a feeling i need expert programing skills to utilize these plugins.

Yes you can run it in xrecord hit stop and then runcdk. Most users just add it to post update epg.bat so it runs every night.

Thank you for your reply, so when i schedule a program and exit the scheduler it does not run. I have to manully do this or set it up in batch file.Ok, that makes sense on why it was workin when i ran the PriorityRecording.exe file. When i installed all this no documentation was available to explain how this works. I thought i was missing something.

What do you exactly mean by hitting stop and then runcdk? do you mean the run in start menu?

I did not find any epg.bat or runcdk file like you mentioned, do you mean the PostUpdateEPG.bat file in the gbpvr directory now? Do i need to add that somewhre to have it run everynight or is it all set? If i need to set this to auto can you give me some pointers on how to do this.

Inside xrecord if you hit the stop button or ctrl - S it pulls up a function menu one of the functions is to run cdk.

postupdateepg.bat is the batch. It will be run automatically by gbpvr. You should be all set.

Im so close, i must be missing something. When im in xrecord the stop button and control-s do not work. I dont get any function menu at all. Just a note too, I have the 45 button remote which seems to be working fine controlling other functions.

What file does the stop button run when pushed?

I do not have the 45 button remote but if you tried control-s on the pc it should work. Try going to ready or something put the focus on the ready list (not the buttons on the left ) where you see the different shows you recorded and try hitting stop then.

Stop opens a menu where you can download icons, run cdk, export all etc...

Thats it!! Focus on ready (or the video in ready) then pressing stop button brings up the hidden easter egg. The function menu works and so does the run cdk. thank you again. now if i want to automactily have cdk run, how do i do that?

I really enjoy this software, i just wish there was better documentation on it and the plugins. I suppose this is why there is a fourm available....

You can run it nightly with the PostUpdateEPG.bat is that what you mean?

The forum and wiki is all that is there right now. Hopefully people will volunteer and write documents for wiki for each plugin.

right, nightly. do i need to enter something in a file somewhre to have that happen?

just add the below line to PostUpdateEPG.bat if it is not there when you install xrecord it places the file with the line if the file does not exist yet

PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log
