I've read the quick start manual and some of the other links I could find, and I've searched and read some of the forums and just tried different things and I'm happy to say it all seems to be working again! I'm just trying to put it all together now and figure out what I did.

Couple question I have and forgive me if there are in FAQ or something but I can't seem to find it. I am trying to figure out what version of what I am running and whether it really matters. I understand there is some loading of software or the dongle.bin that occurs, and this is required whether running the Hauppage software or GBPVR is this correct? How do I know what version of this is running? How can I tell what version of GBPVR I installed, and does it matter anymore what version of Hauppauge software I have? It seemed to me I read that the hauppauge software was needed, but then I thought I read somewhere that it was no longer needed. I can't keep it all straight, sorry!
Thanks for the help, or any pointers to documentations that lays this all out!

You do not need the MVP software installed at all. GBPVR comes with the dongle.bin that is used for the MVP. As long as you have not changed the dongle.bin file (you would know if you went into the directories and renamed and move them) the file Sub is using is working for you. All in all, Sub makes it pretty simple for you. As long as he has it up to date, the GBPVR version is also on the front page of the config screen.
