Difference between DVB and DVB-T

Hi Colleagues,

If I buy a DVB-T receiver( from Germany ), will it work in India( there's only DVB here ).

If yes, can I upgrade it to receive more channels?

There are three types of DVB. DVB-S for satellite, DVB-T for terrestrial and DVB-C for cable. These often collectively referred to as DVB. India wil use one of these (possible more).
