When the guide is displayed allow entering a channel number and have the guide position the top row to that channel. Between cable and satellite we have 165 channels defined and it would be nice to be able to select guide and jump to channel 135 without having to channel-up/down until you get there.

That's what I thought and I tried that but it doesn't work for me. I don't need to use "OK" when selecting channels, simply entering "1" "3" "5" changes fine --- is "OK" REQUIRED for the guide channel change?

You always need to press "#" "OK" when you change channels, both in the guide and in live tv, it has afaik always been like that and it works fine.

Yes, you need to press OK after the channel number.
