Hi,

I haven't managed to get my set-up working yet. I have got the GBPVR menu on my TV screen, however when I click on Live TV all I get is a black screen. If I do the same on my PC (XP Home/1Gb RAM) then it shows me live TV.

If I am recording a program, it gives me the option to watch what I am recording, but also only gives me a black screen (on both PC & TV). I really hope someone can help as the promise of what I can do seems brilliant.

Also, can I avoid getting the Hauppauge menu? I have to restart the MediaMVP service if I want to see the GBPVR menu.

Do you need more info?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, as I'm slowly losing the plot!

Regards,
Raj

What version of the Hauppauge MVP software do you have installed? The version that cam on the CD with it may not be new enough.

Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services. View the properties of the to MVP services and set the startup to manual. This will stop the Hauppauge software from auto starting.

Thanks Sub. Looking at the other posts that people have had, I found the log files and it says I need a multiplex filter. I have the Nova-T (90002)...which is best for this and where can I get it from?

The version of the MediaMVP software I have is 2.2.22146.

In the log files I have (gbrrecordingservice-native):

Ok, I don't know what exactly I've changed, but I now have Live TV. Thanks for your time and advice in getting this sorted.

Does everyone have issues with changing channels whilst watching Live TV?

Thanks

Unfortunately, as I've said a few times in the past, DVB doesnt work that well with the MVP. The main problem is each time you restart the mux filter (ie changing channels), it takes several seconds before the mux will start producing video data. The MVP is only prepared to wait so long, and sometimes this is just too long, so switches back to the menu.
