I've got the Hauppauge PVR-150 with infrared blaster, and would like to get it to work with my DirecTV D10-200 box. In doing some searches it looks like there have been problems using the serial cable, for which an upgrade is being worked on. What I would like to know is if anyone has been able to get the IR blaster working with this D10-200 box. Has anyone had any luck? I'm using the IR Blaster software from Hauppage, and it is the latest version.

If it works with the Hauppauge supplied BlastCfg application, then it should work with GB-PVR.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the hauppauge software, or at least there are any preset codes for it, and I haven't been able to find one that will work. I may end up just going the serial port router, and hope the new directv serial changer program will work.

Then unfortunately it wont work with GB-PVR then. GB-PVR just uses BlastCfg's currently configured device.

Try the latest release of the directv serial control program. It should now support the D10-200 receivers. It does require that you have a cable. However, these are fairly cheap to build.

Trust me once you start using this to change channels you will never go back. Its just so much faster than waiting for the ir blaster to send remote control signals.

Can someone tell me which version of the PVR-150 comes with an IR Blaster? I've been trying to find that out, but Hauppauge's site shows pictures of the cards, and neither the 150 nor the 150mce pictures can show me where the blaster would plug in.
Furthermore, I can't seem to find where Hauppauge even mention this feature.
Thanks,
GGF

It comes with the retail version of the PVR-150. Its actually on a wire that comes off the IR receiver.

@ sub:
Oh, I see. You mean the 150, not the 150MCE I guess.
I found the source of my confusion.

The Hauppauge USA site specifically lists the IR Blaster:
http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/...vr150.html
Quote:New! Now includes IR Blaster to control channel changing on your set top box!

However, if I select United Kingdom (which uses PAL - closest country to what I have in Israel) and go to the 150's URL:
http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/product...vr150.html
The word 'blaster' or set top box is simply not there at all.
Notice it looks like it's the same page, except one is in .com and one in .co.uk ...

Anyone can confirm the PAL version comes with the IR Blaster too?

Thanks,
GGF

Correct, the PVR150MCE does not include the remote or IR blaster.

It briefly mentions the IR Blaster on this page: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/compare_pvr.html
