Audio out of sync with video when recording

Hi,

My system is a WinTV-NOVA-T-USB2, Soundblaster Live! card, P4 2.8GHZ HT CPU, 1.5GB RAM.

When watching live TV the audio and video is synced fine but when watching recordings in GBPVR and MediaPlayer the audio is out of sync to the video by about a second. From MuxChecker I'm using

I can't see any options for recording but I've set my playback options to "InterVideo Video Decoder" and "InterVideo Audio Decoder".

Any help would be really appreciated.

How high of quality are you recordings set at (the bitrate). Because if you are using a very high video bitrate, it could take your computer longer to render the video than the audio, thus causing it to get out of sync. If this is your case, i would reccomend changing your bitrates to lower ones that are easier to decode.

Or try turning of Hyper-threading in the BIOS, this has been known to slow some other video tasks as well.

Try a different mux. The Intervideo mux is pretty bad, and does this for most people that use it.

The bitrate settings arent used by the digital cards, like the Nova-T, as the bitrate is decided by the broadcaster
