Hey y'all.

Been trying to map what button on the MVP remote works with GBPVR, and so far what I found that was "weird" is:
- to return to the main menu, you have to press the "i" button, but the "home" button doesn't do anything
- changing channels by typing in a number doesn't work. No idea if it's just me or if the feature isn't present in GBPVR at all
- prev. channel when watching live TV doesn't seem to work

Any ideas/thought about the above? Does it work for you?

Where have you been trying to map it? I dont think you have any control over the mapping at all.

On the most recent remotes, Hauppauge have added a small "i" symbol to the "menu" button. Is this what you're talking about? The "menu" button shows the menu in GB-PVR.

Which is the "home" key? I dont have any keys labelled "home". Do you mean the "Go" button, which Hauppauge have added a small picture of a house to on their latest remotes? On all their remotes they have had keys label "Go" and "Menu". They have only added the small house symbol on the most recent remotes, the older remotes dont have this. Using the menu key to view the menu makes more sense to me.

By "map" I meant discovering, like an explorer and stuff... Not remapping keystrokes to actions, just finding out what works in the hopes of making an informative post later.

By the "i" button, yes I mean the menu one.

To me it seemed more logical to use "menu" to enter any sub-menu (or popup information, etc...), and the "go" with the home drawing to, well, go home and return the main menu... But that's OK. As long as I know it's not a bug, I'm cool with it.

About changing channels by typing their number, as well as prev. channel not working on live TV. Is it me doing something wrong, or it doesn't work?

No, I think I missed adding the key mapping for prev channel to the MVP. It'll be in place in the next release.

That is by design. The number keys are used to skip a designated number of minutes fwd/rew. E.g.: You type 15 and press 'Skip' and you'll skip 15 minutes. That's a very nice feature I clearly prefer over having the number keys available for channels (for e.g. commercial skipping).

I'm not 100% shure it's available in Live preview (as I expect is where you have tried it), but I would expect so.

It should change by typing channel numbers. Did you try pressing OK/enter after the channel number?

You're right, it works. Didn't think about the OK button. However there's no visual feedback about the digits typed (the digits don't appear on the lower left corner like they do on the PC). Is it by design cause the OSD on the MVP is too slow?

Its probably because of the minimal OSD setting. The MVP is really slow at updating its OSD while video is playing, and it makes things seem unresponsive, so the minimal OSD setting is on by default.

Any idea what button is used to skip on the MVP remote?
