When I run Xrecord, it reports an out of memory error. I have the newest version of GBPVR and am running a Hauppauge 150. Any suggestions?

are you using the latest xrecord? Does it happen right when you press down. Not after a little while?

Hi,

I am getting out of memory when selecting XRecord from the main menu. I just updated to the latest XRecord and am running the latest GBPVR also.

Attached is the log.

I am getting the error exactly as Steve describes as well, but only with this new update of GBPVR. Prior to the update all was working well (and I miss XRecord!)

Can you try something dumb for me.

One user psiros had this error and he said it was related to the tv shows that were recorded without images related to them. As a temporary solution try creating a image for each show and see if that problem goes away. I can not repro it but if it fixes it, it tells me where the problem is.

In the config do you have the merging the video checked?

I will check the code as well.

OK, I did Merge/Video and I could get it to show up, but it got the error after I paged down. That made me think one of the next folders in Recordings was the culprit. I copied a folder.jpg file to the next couple folders in Recordings and the problem disappeared. It turns out it only needed to be copied to the Family Guy folder which had 6 mpgs in it. Most other folders had only 1, although a couple had 2 or 3. None of the other folders had a folder.jpg file in them, but they don't seem to have a problem. Perhaps it has something to do with the number of files in the folder. The problem folder had the most mpgs in it.

Perhaps you can look at the log I posted earlier to see if it also points to the family Guy folder as the one with the problem.

The log does agree

8/18/2005 8:23:38 PM.609 VERBOSE [2] Image C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\art\Family Guy
8/18/2005 8:23:38 PM.640 ERROR [2] Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwnd=0x30308 wparam=0x0 lparam=0xbf0136 result=0x0 : System.OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory.
at System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(String filename, Boolean useEmbeddedColorManagement)

I dont have the latest code with me but I will investigate with the release I have.
Thank you.
