My Music not on MVP

I have installed the My Music plugin and it works great on my gbpvr box. However, it does not show up on my MVP. I thought it was a permissions thing since I am mapping a share drive to access my music (which is on a different box than my gbpvr), but I ran the gbpvr service as an account that has the appropriate accesses and it still did not show up.

Any ideas?

BTW: Was a knoppmyth user for about 6 months. Switched to gbpvr for PVR 500 support and it is much simpler to use/understand. Nice product.

sorry i have no idea why it wouldnt show up, i dont have a mvp myself, hopefully someone else may be able to help you.

Take a look in your gbpvr.exe.log file and see what it says. it should have some error logged that points to the problem.

So it can't get to the 'Z:' drive which is how I have mapped the music directory. Can I use a UNC instead?

Apparently the answer is yes. Going into the config.xml I was able to change the directory from 'Z:\My Music' to it's UNC equivalent and it worked just fine.

Is there an issue with editing the config.xml in this manner? I notice the warning about upgrades and I don't want to screw up any future upgrades.

nah you can edit the config.xml file all you want (aslong as your editor doesnt screw it up, apparently wordpad does). i manually edit the config.xml file all the time (quicker than going into the config app).
