Hi, thanks for a great program (always good to start with some sucking up, even though its true Wink

I have a problem that i havent been able to solve even though i have read, well, all of this forum...

I have an Hauppauge pvr-350-card...

I´m interested in the live-tv part and have one coax (ordinary tv-antenna) input and one s-video (my sat-box). The problem is that I can´t figure out how to get the both sources available at the same time in GB-pvr.

Also, I will soon be able to control the sat-box from the htpc with an serialcable... Can I set up GB-pvr for that?

Thanks in advance for any help, and please bare in mind that im not very smart, and maybe not so good in typing English (Swede) Wink...

Best Regards

Not done this (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong Big Grin) but I assume you set up a second capture source in config (note: You won't be able to watch and record at the same time).

Don't think there is native support for this - but there is a work around - Alternativley (depending on your set top box) you may just be able to use a IR blaster

I´ve tried this but I cant really figure it out... Will I be able to watch it if i dont record anything?

Can I set it to a channelnumber and "zap" between the coax and s-vid without changing any settings...

Maybe I´m way off but as written N00000b... Wink

Sorry, I wasn't very clear...

As I understand it you will not be able to use both the svideo and coax/rf at the same time (only 1 encoder chip)

E.g. You can't record from your sat box while watching terestrial tv with the 350. You could however watch a previously recorded show while recording from EITHER your sat box / terestrial

Hope this clears things up a little...

As I say I don't have this set up, but this is how I imagine it works

Try creating 2 capture sources, make sure that the board number is set to 0 for both and select a different tuner (internal + SVideo respectivley)

As I say I haven't done this so no warranty provided Big Grin - If it doesn't work - check back I'm sure someone else will have an insight in to this.

Good luck!

Hi again... Tried to setup a different Capture Source... The problem is that it says when confirming: It looks like the drivers isn´t installed...

If I use the S-video as Capture Source #1 it works...
If I use the Coax as Capture Source #1 it works...

But when I try to setup one of them for CS#2 it complains about the drivers...

Thanks in advance for help!

I have a PVR-150 card with coax input for Cable TV and composite inputs for satellite TV. I set GBPVR up with two sources but with both set to #1 and each one with its own Zap2it account. The cable tv channels go from channel 3 to channel 99 and the satellite starts at channel 101 and goes up. I have one really big TV guide with a few hundred channels. I can only watch or record one source at a time because I only have one card so I only have one encoder so only one channel at a time. I hope this makes sense to you because I think I'm confused now.

Ok, thanks for your fast reply.

The thing that happens is that only the s-video works when I have setup the capture sources to #1. Where have you set up which channels to use?

I think that the reason mine works is the fact that the two sources channel numbers don't overlap. One source is channels 3-99 and the other is channels 101-???? so when I pick a channel to record it automatically switches to the right input. I guess most of my success has been just dumb luck plus a lot of reading here of what others have done.
