your EPG subscription to zap2it is expired. I noticed my EPG only had 5 days of data left (it should have 14), tried to update and it just crashed after a few seconds (no information in the logs). I ran a packet sniffer and saw that zap2it was reporting that my subscription was expired. I took their survey and extended my subscription and all is well again. Thought you'd like to know.

Based on that, it would be neat if someplace somewhere GBPVR would keep track of when your subscription is set to expire, since that information is sent by zap2it every time you fetch guide data.

When you say crashed, I assume you mean you got the 'your EPG is not configured correctly' message when you tried to manually update it in the config app? I've changed this message in the next release, to remind you to check your zap2it subscription has not expired.
