Sometimes when I watch 1080p dxva videos on my xp gbpvr box it crashes gbpvr. Then when I try to load any video (even from other players) it hangs the whole htpc.

systems notes:
cccp codec pack using ffdshow dxva, haali splitter, ffdshow audio decoder

I think it crashes when I try to switch either subtitles or audio streams. It's pretty consistent. If I don't switch streams/subtitles then I think it's stable.

I don't know if it's gbpvr, ffdshow, haali splitter or something else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try SAF5 and reproduce the crash?

I can switch between subtitles/audio streams without any issue...

Your version of GBPVR is so far out of warranty it's not funny Big Grin

When it comes to .mkv files though, GBPVR doesnt take any part in the playback of these files (or switching audio/subtitle streams). This is going to come down to the decoders your system is picking.

Hoborg,

but you said in a different thread that it might break my GBPVR settings because it's not the most recent version. I'm not willing to sacrifice that right now. If there's a way to install SAF without affecting GBPVR config files then I will consider it.

I might try it one day after I do a system image.
