suddenly, it seems my recordings have gone missing in the "ready" screen of the MPV and the Windows cersions. I checked the directories, and the files exist, but no dice .

ANy advice on how to rebuild the database? Or, is that what I need to do? I'm running lates stable version. And, these worked for some time after the upgrade, just seems to be in the last few days.

I just had the same problem tonight. I was messing with some plugins and its all gone. I even had to set up my recording devices/channels and add all my recurring recordings. Does anyone know how to rebuild the database? Is that info stored in the recordings somehow?

There is a known bug in this release that can cause the gbpvr.mdb to be renamed old.mdb. The problem occurs if it fails to compact the database. This is fixed in the next release.

old.mdb is just gbpvr.mdb renamed immediately prior to trying to compact the database, so nothing is actually lost.

This should probably be sticky until that version comes out? Looks like I lost all the data on shows recorded since I posted. No way to get that back or populate it?

Before I get a reply on populating my DB I'm guessing I may have thought of a solution. I found that I can dump the DB to an XML file in the configuration screens. I guess I could take my two XML dumps, append them together, and then import them back?

Ok, so since nothing had changed (all my settings, including pending recordings) were lost, I renamed old.mdb to gbpvr.mdb, and things seem to be back.

Is there a work around to the bug 'till the new release comes out?

There should be a "known bug" forum, if there isn't one, with post permission locked to Sub so we don't have to keep bugging you with known bug issues. (or is there already one, and I'm just stupid?)
