Hi

Any reason why a recording would plant itself in the gbpvr directory rather than where the configuration told it to?

My config is for recording in c:\myvideos and livetv buffer to c:\ (I know stoopid directories, but just moving from MythTV, and checking out Meedio and GB-PVR - GB-PVR is winning!!!)

But after a 10 minute manual recording, the file plonked itself inthe gbpvr directory. I am however on .92 and just about to load .94

Cant say I've hear this reported.

Upgrade to v0.94 and see if it still does it. If it does then we'll take a closer look.

ok, that did sort it out. Did see some message in the logs about adding to commercial detection queue....didn't think I had that turned on. In .94 have it turned off and file is going where I told it too.

Other that that tiny issue, product looks really good. Seems to beat meedio for ease of use and setup. Also getting the channel information in with XMLTVNZ is great.

I'll have to look at getting the remote receiver and blaster going (PVR-150) and see if I can get them going with Saturn Digital.

Sky Box Office channels, heaps of those, I can't remember any others. And an OSD finally, but hopefully I wont need that once I get my HTPC set up.

But where I was expecting a fancy box with S-Video etc, these ones have an external cable modem (the motorola) and two set of 3 RCA (Vid and 2 Aud) connectors as well as the Coax. The cable modem is used for downloading data for the OSD, and mine takes about a day after the box has been powered up to update....and yet on myth, or XMLTVNZ I can get it down in a couple of minutes.

Maybe later generations of the decoder box will differ...the price of being first huh??

PM me if you're interested in it...there's a trick.
