Quicktime 7 (especially H.264/AVC support)

Now that Quicktime 7 is available for Windows, it means easy access to the very, very nice H.264/AVC codec.

I would love to be able to use this codec in GBPVR (Imagine how much space it would save over regular mpeg2 encoding and xvid/divx).

I've done some preliminary tests with the codec and I am completely amazed over how crazy this codec is, so for me this would be my nr. 1 feature sought after.

gbpvr uses directshow to do playback (well at least for software decoding) so all you need is a directshow filter to play it, quicktime alternate provides this (but i doubt that supports quicktime 7 yet, but it should do soon).

You should consider trying MpegableAVC:

I've used it before, and it seems reliable and the quality is good (not excellent compared to what AVC could provide, but good).
