Hello

I have just purchased a Freecom DVB-T TV USB Stick and was hoping that I can used it with GBPVR. After reading a few thread I sent an email to Freecom support to ask if this was BDA complient and was informed that its not.

Is there anything I can do to make this card work with GBPVR? Does anyone know of software that may work with this card (I dont really want to use the software this card is supplied with)?

Thanks in advance

No, unfortunately it needs to have BDA drivers to work.

Ok, I have had a look on the CD-ROM that came with this product and there is DirectX install folder with BDA files present including BDAXP.CAB and a DirectXSETUP.exe.

I guess this means that the card is BDA complient. I will try to GB-PVR working with it and let you all know how it goes.

Nope its not BDA compliant, its that direct X has some files that are probably used by BDA products thus are named there.

If you are very lucky the TechnoTrend BDA drivers might work, I think the freecom, and several other re-brands, use the same tuner/chipset.

Some files might need patching though, good luck!

I have found some other drivers you could try:

Technisat [AirStar Telestick T1]

http://www.technisat.com/

[has BDA drivers and uses the exellent DVBViewer software]

Kworld:

http://www.kworld.com.tw/en/download/d03.htm

LifeView:

http://www.lifeview.com.tw/html/downloads/downloads.htm

[these are NOT BDA drivers but the native drivers should work with ProgDVB]

TerraTec:

http://translate.google.com/translate?u=...uage_tools

http://supportde.terratec.net/modules.ph...ad&sid=422

Typhoon:

http://www.typhoon.de/en/art.php?p=826

Yakumo:

http://www.yakumo.de/produkte/index.php?pid=1&ag=DVB-T#

[These products are very new so their driver downloads are not online yet, check these pages for BDA drivers soon]

Thanks

I've downloaded some BDA drivers from the Yakumo website, and by editing the.inf file managed to get it installed. What do I do now to get gbpvr to use the card ?

You'd need to add a section to bda.ini with the appropriate names. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...+Graphedit

What changes did you make to the .inf file(s)?

Any info or the files would be very welcome.
