I'm interested in GB-PVR solely for viewing/timeshifting/recording HDTV/Digital TV with my A180 card (no analog card at all in my system); I tried the latest release but couldn't seem to get it to work (wasn't in any of the config dropdowns).

I've checked the forums and around the late May timeframe at least there seemed to be some interest in this card, but I haven't seen anything since then, so...

Any plans/timeframe to support it?

It'll probably work fine with the current release, but you'll need to add A180 to the BDA.ini file. This is pretty easy though.

Ok. Searching the forums, it sounds like I need to provide assignments to the following elements in the BDA.ini file:

[AverMedia A180]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=<something>
FILTER_CAPTURE=<something>
PIN_TUNER_IN=<something>
PIN_TUNER_OUT=<something>
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=<something>
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=<something>

Pardon my newbie-ness, but where can I go to figure out the "something"s? I'm guessing on the "AverMedia A180" and "ATSC" above...

To find the names of the filters, download GraphEdit (google for it). You probably wont need to change pin names. In graphedit use the 'insert filters' menu option, then expand the BDA categories to find the correct names for your card.

There has been some discussion about it in the past, so the forum search feature should turn up something.

Klingonscum, have you gotten your stutter issues with the A180 and GBPVR fixed?
