Well, the latest problems with the MC2XML epg data weened us off cable TV. We are moving on to Netflix, Shomi (canada), and Kodi with the proper addons.
It's been almost 10 years and I learned a lot and my entire family benefited from the GBPVR setup. I'll probably still use NPVR for local content but I see using it less and less...unless there's a Netflix plugin. It's unfortunate because I spent the last year building my last rig with my first LED TV (still using a CRT), I7, Colossus, HDPVR, IR blasters and set top boxes.
Just wanted to extend a thanks to Sub and all the people on the forums.
Sub, as a token of appreciation, I've made a donation.
Sometimes, my scheduled EPG update seems to be failing. By some reason, it is happening quite often.
I did not found any issues in LOGs, but i had scheduled recording this evening starting at 18:55.
I looked on my HTPC and it was not resumed few minutes to 19:00 so i started it manually. Then i checked TV guide and a lot of time slots containing "no data" values.
On channel, where recording should be done, EPG was missing until 20:00.
Hi first time i set up a DVR. I've read many thing on internet to get this work whit my SHIELD TV but now i need your help cause i found nothing on that problem. I just wanth to get the Information page image from NPVR, i think it take it from my Schedule direct account, and display it in KODI. Here a screenshot of what image i talk and where it is suposed to apear in KODI.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Next PVR 3.5.7. Now when I try to skip or FF to get to the start of one of my shows, it completely locks up the playback. One or two skips works, but then it basically freezes until I hit ESC to return to the recording directory. Interestingly skip is working fine on recordings from Next PVR 3.3.8 that were recorded on Windows 8.1. I have attached my logs from my last attempt.
Firstly, congratulations on a piece of software that may well replace Windows Media for my HTPC. I think I've nearly configured it to all work, however the one thing which doesn't seem to function is the EPG on the web console (sorry if that's not the right terminology). It's just blank when it should be showing a Freeview EPG listing. It works fine on the actual NextPVR software. Any ideas?
It is actually kaashoek.com/comskip
I like the program and was considering a donation. But I wanted to register at the forum to ask questions if I ever needed to. But their register has a VERY odd thing at the end. You have to answer a question to show you are not a robot. Well when you don't know the answer they ask for, you can not register. Anyone that is registered there know the answer?
Can't contact anyone there. You have to be registered to ask for help.
Most odd thing I have ever seen....
I am experiencing 2 issues since upgrading to version 3.5.7.
1) When trying to map some stations EPG using schedule direct, some stations are no longer showing up in the mapping. They were showing up prior to upgrade. I checked schedule direct and those stations are still showing in the listing for my area.
I have included logs and the two stations that do not show up in mapping are 50.1 and 50.2. All other stations show up in mapping just fine.
2) When scheduling recordings using TV listings about half of the programs I try to record using All new episodes or All episodes option do not record and the TV listing for that show is not highlighted to confirm it is scheduled to record. If I check in" Recordings - Recurring recordings" the programs show up and listed as scheduled to record.
If I choose record once the program will record so I know it is not a scheduling conflict. Again this all worked just fine before I upgraded. NOTE: Also to ensure nothing is running I upgrade using safe mode. Has worked well in the past for me.
Everything seems to be working fine on my system. However, after I had recorded a few shows, I changed the location for my recorded files. I then moved the already recorded shows to the new directory, but now they don't show up on my list of recordings. The original directory was C:\temp. The new directory is c:\temp\TV Recordings.
What's the possibility of adding network shares to the mix when selecting a recording directory with the most available space. From what I understand that is only available to local drives only.
