I have two shows set to record each day as a test. One works fine the other says "none" on the Recurring Recordings screen. I reset it for the day and it will say the same the next day.
In my area, only appx. 10 hours of reliable OTA EPG data is provided for several of the major ATSC broadcast networks. The EPG data itself is of good quality, and coupled with TheTVDb data is more than adequate for my purposes, so I'd like to continue to try and avoid a subscription or XMLTV-based EPG. Is it possible to trigger two or more EPG updates on a daily basis? Can config.xml be modified or a batch file created to accomplish this?
I have a HD HomeRun Prime with a Comcast cable card. My old computer was running WMC and Windows 7. I received pay channels like HBO with no problem.
My new computer is Windows 8.1 and NextPVR 3.3.8. I noticed that HBO doesn't show up. Is there a setting I need to adjust, or does NextPVR not support pay channels?
I like to use the NEWA desktop gadget as a quick way of checking on my recording schedule, but today an item appeared at the to of the list with no subject and a record date of Tuesday 1st January 12AM to 12AM??????
Well that date was back in 2013, I guess it must have been when I tried to setup a manual recording, but now I cannot find any reference to it or anyway to delete it nad in truth it's bugging me!!!!
Any idea how I can access the recording schedule and manually delete this reference, I've looked in all the obvious locations but cannot find anything.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I was told to install the software (drivers?) for the SD Prime in order for Next PVR to use/see it... which worked of course. But my question is... which drivers is NextPVR using? The ones I installed from Hauppauge for the unit or the ones used for the Prime?
Second question... right now I have no audio for live TV but it records it fine for playback. Are the codecs for the audio coming from the Hauppauge drivers, the Prime software, Windows Media Center... or are they part of Next PVR?
According to the Schedules Direct Forum, custom channel lineups aren't available using JSON, only XML. I like the extra data JSON provides, but DirecTV (my provider) has 1000+ channels and I only want EPG for about 250 channels total.
When channel lineups change or a new channel is added, I have to re-import my channels and un-check about 1000 channels just to add or change one or two. An option to de-select all channels so I can re-check only one or two channels for import would be a huge time saver. Thank you!
I installed a TBS 6281 DVB-T2 and NextPVR gave me nothing ... found nothing in a channel scan. Recorded nothing (created zero byte file) when I allowed NextPVR -> Settings -> Devices to copy the config from another tuner.
Tried all of the usual fiddling about ... different aerial cable ... different PCI-E slot ... no change. Tried DVBdream that came with the card ... worked perfectly ... found channels in a scan ... and tuned to a channel and displayed the channel.
Logs are attached ... including the DVBdream logs for the adventurous. Thanks for listening.
Edit: And now I find that the Blackgold DVB-T2 tuner that was working is now also producing zero byte files. While simultaneously, the Hauppauge TVB-T carry on working as normal. Edit Again: Bugger - air gap between the ariel coax and the tuner... but that was not the problem with the TBS card.
I have been testing nextPVR and was ready to demonstrate it with the real TV. I did not do a clean shutdown of the Win 8.1 PC, moved all to the living room and plugged in the Sony Bravia and started it up.
ndxtPVR spins the wheels hard for a couple of minutes and dies silently without adding to the log. There was some stuff in the log but the program never appends to it. I will have to post this and then go to the Windows machine to add the log.
Should I uninstall and reinstall or wait for advice?
Just got NextPVR running on a new computer, and have a problem and a question.
Problem -flipping channels sometimes works great, but often results in NextPVR freezing for 20 or 30 seconds before the new channel comes in.
Question -I had WMC running before, and am surprised NextPVR doesn't have a similar type walk-thru for setting up the EPG. The guides I've seen online look really arduous. Is there a link someone can share to the simplest set up instructions for the EPG?
I'm running NextPVR on a desktop in the USA with a HD Homerun Prime, if that matters.
