If I am watching LiveTV on my laptop using the NEXTPVR client and I hit pageup to change channels I get a divide by 0 error on the client it appears that server keeps kicking me off. Let me know if you need more logs as it happens everytime so easily created.
Wondering if anyone out there has created a .bat file that will work in NextPVR to create smaller size, higher data rate files from these HD recordings? My need is for long term archiving... not for streaming to ipads or tv's.
As a long time Beyond TV user it would take the (standard def) files and do two things:
1) strip off the closed captioning using CCExtractor (program's creator helped with that)
2) create a smaller file using DIVX (BTV did that as part of the program)
I'm not married to DIVX. Perhaps using Handbrake and H.264 will work(?)
Coding is not my thing. I can mess around with a .bat file with some help.
Please let me know if you have anything to get me started.
I am running the latest KODIbuntu on an Intel NUC and have NextPVR 3.3.8 running on a server PC.
I noticed peaks in CPU activity of 100% of a core every 12 seconds or so on the server PC. Switching on debugging in NextPVR on the server I found the CPU activity correlates with the KODI NextPVR client calling GetRecordingsList for all recordings (and there are several thousand of them) every 12 seconds or so. This happens even when KODI is at the top level of its menus, not showing any extPVR content.
Is there a way of moderating this CPU and network activity?
NB otherwise this setup is working really well. The only other problem I have found is that I had to turn off use of VAAPI acceleration in KODI as it caused occasional crashes and reboots of KODI. Luckily although this uses a lot more CPU on the NUC it still runs HD video at full frame rate.
My new hdhomerun only finds a few channels when I do a channel scan, my other tuner finds them all. I've attached the logs from scanning with the hdhomerun. I should mention that our cable provider has changed a lot of things this month, so it might be related. The hdhomerunapp finds all my channels, so the hardware is working fine.
When I copy the channels from my other device to the hdhomerun device in nextpvr setup, I cannot watch the channels either.
Is there a way to have all the recordings in one folder instead of making one folder for each program that is recorded? Really like the setup with one folder for each program, but Kodi wont show the recording thumbnail for the folder (only for the recorded program) and that is annoying.

When I try to record a "Record Ones" to a different folder/Directory from Kodi it will still record to the Default directory. But if I record a "Record Season" it will record to the directory I have chosen. Has anyone else got that problem?
New forum member so point me to the right thread is this has been answered already a thousand times.
As a long time Beyond TV user I could really use the ability compress the video files down for long term archiving. BTV would do that quite well, and automatically, using (in my case) the DIVX codec.
I'm not seeing anything in NextPVR for such a feature.
Hi All,
As a long time user of NextPVR, I was horrified to learn that Time Warner Cable in Raleigh, NC (USA) is about to switch over to all digital cable signal with all subscribers requiring at least a DTA box for every TV set, which means the end of all analog channel signals. I just wanted to confirm what I already suspected, that this will be THE END of my home built DVR with Time Warner Cable as my provider. Also, if this is the case, anyone have any suggestions of what TV service (satellite, ATT Uverse, etc) I might be able to switch to so that I might be able to continue to use my NextPVR machine to continue recording TV shows? I have 2 Hauppage HVR1600's installed in each of 2 separate DVR machines and I suspect that they won't work with any TV service. I am certainly amenable and capable of switching to other tuner cards for other services, if anyone has any suggestions. I am so sad...
Just getting my feet wet with NextPVR having been a long time Beyond TV user. The switch to Qam and M-cards is forcing me to move on and this program looks intriguing... if I can just get it to run
Running on Windows 7 Pro. Using a Hauppauge DRC-2650 dual tuner box with M-Card from the cable company. Channels come up find using either Media Center or Hauppauge WinTV 8 so I know the box/card combo is working.
When I try to run PVR no channels show up. Under the Device tab all I see is IPTV Device. No indication it is seeing the DCR-2650 at all. I have the DirectX runtime installed as well as all other software mentioned in the initial support post.
Cox reordered the lineup again (just to mess with me), so I had to do the old route again. Delete the current channels and empty the EPG. Rescan, and remap manually using XMLTV, reload EPG. I completed this task (not fun), but have the process down pat after a while. But now, for some reason, no EPG data is showing up -- except for one channel. Interestingly this one channel was one who's settings for some reason didn't stick when doing the Bulk Update (XMLTV selection did not set and was on None). I went back and changed that --- but something must had gone wrong deeper than this.
If I empty EPG, Reload EPG --same issue. Restart recording service, or even reboot. Nothing seems to fix it. I did rebuild a new XMLTV file and looked at it....it seems good to me.
Any ideas?
BTW: All my new channels scanned are completely viewable without issues -- just no EPG data Logs attached
