New to the forum here, but had a quick question. I have NextPVR running in Kodi with my provider and everything is working GREAT! For whatever reason my provider's feed is about 2 minutes behind real-time so I need to skip ahead every single recording.
When using the Web Application I see there is a setting for Pre and Post Padding (I'm assuming this is for starting/stopping the recording minutes ahead/behind)? If my assumption is correct in that, is the setting on the Web App "Global"? Will it matter what my individual setting is for my Repeating Manual Recordings or will it ONLY go by the setting in the Web app?
I don't want to be the person posting in a forum without doing my home work but I have got to the point where i need to assistance or I will just give up.
I have a wintv nova-t card
i have zero experience with usb tv devices and thought it would be handy to have my old pc be a tv server.
I have been unable to get the card to work with anything other than the bundled software, I have had some success with setup of this in nextpvr in as much as it will find the channels and save them - the tv guide has on occasion after tuning shown the correct info but is also known to show no show details.
however when i try to load up live tv it looks as if it tries then fails.
im guessing from others who have uploaded logs these are helpful to assist resolution - I have been through others logs but do not see my issue in these logs.
i read that some of the log which looks troublesome is actually nothing to worry about, such as :FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Encoder
to me this looks troublesome though.
i have attached the log file for someone with some savvy about these things to show me my mistakes.
My setup is Mint 21.2, a windows PC using my phone as a Ethernet modem, so no firewall. I have 1 Wintv QuadHD and 1 HDHomerun extend. I understand that with windows you use the HD Homerun app for channel scan. There isn't an app for Linux, but a configuration file. I set that up. But I still cant get a channel scan to work. I had this HDHomerun working in TVHeadend. What am I missing here? the QuadHD works fine. I searched the forum and web but can't find anything.
Just got an email from schedules direct with the above subject, however the new lineup they proposed does not exist. Is it a bug with npvr or sd? thanks. email below
Our data provider Gracenote will be updating a portion of the US lineups to
reflect the market. Analog lineups for Satellite, Cable and others will be
updated to digital and duplicate analog lineups will be removed.
You should change your lineups as reflected below before December 11th as
Gracenote will be starting to make changes then.

I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement for this PCIe quad DVB-S card. I have to reboot the server every 5 to 7 days when it stops working. I don't think it's an NPVR problem, as restarting the service does not fix it. The driver dates back to 2014, and I have to disable Memory Integrity to get it to install, so I suspect that it's a software issue.
There is a TBS-6904 SE which looks like a drop-in replacement, has anyone had experience with this? Or is there any other card that you can recommend?
Every now and then a recording will be cut short due to this (?)

Hi. I have very recently installed this with a donation.
I have changed my login details but now it will accept my details.
I have emailed them for a link to amend my details but still have heard nothing back.
Can anybody help with this.
Thanks in advance.
I think I've got my system set up ok but I'm still seeing some random crashes. I've been successful recording shows all week but had one fail early in the week and another today at 4pm.
Haven't messed with the transcoding yet and so far only tried recording one program at a time.
Raspberry Pi 4
HAUPPAUGE WinTV-DualHD
LibreElec, Kodi, Next PVR
Hoping you can look over the log and tell me if there are some settings I can tweak to make this system rock solid.
Hi, I have NextPVR running on my Windows PC and it normally works very well. Last night I had a "failed recording" and it was my Wife's favourite programme so I was in the dog box!
Any chance of some help to avoid this problem in the future?
The recording which failed was the Great British Bake Off and was scheduled to start recording at 19:57 on Tuesday 28th November. I have attached the log files which I have just captured.
I am a real novice but I did spot something in the nrecord.log.1 file which might be relevant:
2023-11-28 19:57:27.873 [ERROR][46] IsComplete(): Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Similar entries repeat ~30 times. However, I have no idea if this is relevant, what it means or if I can fix it! so apologies if this is a red herring.
