My hdhomerun dual gets a lot fewer channels than my QuadHD. Will it be used first for the channels it can get? If so, I'll remove any channels it gets weak signals on from it's list.
Nothing shows up in pending or recent recordings. Nothing is recording at all. I made no changes and I didn't reboot the computer which would have caused these problems.
The tuners show up in the SHOW STATUS and are available. Also shows up in the web interface as devices. I'm on the most recent version 231022. I have rebooted now NextPVR and recycled all the tuners.
Logs attached. Any help on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.
Just installed new ubuntu server on system and ran all updates. Installed nextpvr and setup for my IPTV subscription.
Tested all channels and had not issues with browsing streams.
Then install the lates emby server and added the plugin for nextpvr.
Added the tv source in emby for nextpvr.
Went to guide and tried to play stream and get this in emby server.
No Compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your administrator for details.
If i try to play in the nextpvr i get
No tuner was available for the requested channel.
Then if i remove nextpvr from emby and add the iptv providers url for m3u and the xml it works in emby with out issues.
Not sure if this is because it is running on ubuntu server.
It was working on ubuntu desktop.
I attempted to setup my HDhomerun extend on Nextpvr under Linux gave up. I installed Nextpvr under windows instead. I downloaded the software from the hdhomerun web siter and followed there instructions for setting it up in NextPVR https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/nextpvr I was able to complete the setup. Then I went to devices in Nextpvr. The instructions say to to scan for tuners, select the atsc tuner and click setup(step 9). But I never got a setup button. I clicked scan and it went up to channel 44 then froze up. I tried rebooting and starting over, but it imediatly goes to the same point and freezes. I even uninstalled nextpvr and it goes straight to the same point and freezes. Is there a way to clear the tuner list and start over? How is it that when I removed and re-installed Nextpvr it still showed my tuner without having to scan for tuners? Is there a config file that does not delete when I remove and reinstall Nextpvr? Setting up my Wintv QuadHD usb was a breeze. I'm on the verge of smashing this HDHomeC**p. It seems to work fine with the Hdhomerun dvr.
I am running NextPVR on Win 10 and a Hauppage Quad TV card, and have had a working setup for several years. Yesterday the video stopped working - the frontend shows 'receiving data (83848)' but no picture.
This is not a signal issue - I have Hauppage WinTV 8 installed, and can get all channels on that.
I have tried updating Hauppage drivers and restarting the computer, don't know what to try next.
I note that there is no mention of uidroid on the "other clients" wiki page.
The wiki page states that Android client "can be used on phones/tablets and Android TV devices" whereas the forum description says "Post questions relating to the Android Phone/Tablet app here" (no mention of use on a TV)
I don't know if the Android client works well on a TV as I've never tried it but my assumption is that uidroid is "the" client app that owners of android TV's should be using.
Android TVs is the most widely adopted TV platform yet the forum page for uidroid lives under NextPVR Other Clients > Android.
I think it would be better to re-organise the forums so that there is a forum specific to ALL Android devices called "NextPVR Android Clients" or "NextPVR Android and Android TV Clients" (like the forum that exists for all Apple devices).
Hello. I use NextPVR to schedule a Live TV recording. Didn't have a problem for a long time and then a few weeks back noticed I was having issues with playback on my Roku TV and Fire stick 4k Max within the app I use for all my media playback, Plex. I investigated and I think I found what has been going on by looking at the .ts files with mediainfo. The audio track of the recording changed to "AAC LC SBR" which is Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity with Spectral Band Replication (commercial name HE-AAC). It had always been just AAC LC. Even now this week the recordings worked Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday where it was AAC LC but on Wednesday it recorded as AAC LC SBR. Thus I'm concluding that Spectral Band Replication (SBR) is either not supported for playback on these devices or Plex app doesn't implement them. However I'm not sure if there is something causing the recordings to change the audio format and causing it to be "AAC LC SBR" or if there is anything I can do to force it on the NextPVR side to just always be AAC LC.
I just installed UIdroid on my s23, It's running SamsunAndroid 13. When I attempted to start the app it stopped at the android logo and paused for a long time, the..the ap shut down. After another pause i GOT THE MESSAGE ""NextPVR client closed because this app has a bug." I tried restarting my phone but it did not help. Is it compatable with Android 13? Are there data files I can send to ade with finding the issue?
After cloning my Windows 11 Pro from a HDD to a SSD I noticed that NPVR is not recognizing my Hauppage TV Tuner anymore. I uninstalled and install the Hauppage drivers and downloaded a Windows TV Tuner checker App to see if my TV Tuner was working. It is working correctly.
I deleted NPVR and installed it again with the same results. In the Taskbar the NPVR icon is dark and when I click on it no TV Tuners are showing. Seems like there is some setting that is connecting NPVR to my old HDD drive and not to the new SSD drive.
The NPVR service is up and running. I stopped and restarted with same results as before.
The Web Service gives me the error of unable to connect thus unable to log in. In the NPVR Desktop, at first it mentions unable to connect to the server than it disappears and I am able to go to the TV Guide and even click on programs to record but no live TV with "Unable to connect to Remote Server"
I have uploaded the NPVR Logs.zip to see if you can tell me which setting is preventing NPVR from recognizing my TV Tuner.
Thanks in advance.
