Missing time/date navigation in desktop client on guide page (Win11)
Posted by: JHP025 - 2024-08-04, 03:05 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

Hi,

Just having upgraded to a new Win 11 PC from Win 10, and installed the latest NPVR version.

Everything's working very well, except that on Win 10, in the desktop client, under the guide, there were 4 buttons: +24h, -24h, and a couple of buttons for PgUp and PgDown on the channels list - but which are now missing in the Win 11 install.

I'm not sure if clicking the date should let me navigate ahead to a different day (I think it does in the web client?), but the only way I can now find to move ahead in time is to cursor-right through the programs one-by-one.

Have checked Right-click -> Settings -> General and couldn't see anything that looked relevant, but it's definitely configured exactly as it was on Win 10 (down to same version and build number).

Is there a way to get the +/-24 buttons back on Win 11?

  one more buffering question
Posted by: donbrew - 2024-08-03, 07:46 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (2)

I have tried all of the suggestions I could find.
Nextpvr is running on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.  Watching on Coreelec on LePotato 2 gb.
I was working fine until I updated to Ubuntu 24.04 from 22.04, now it buffers every time it writes a chunk to the disk.  Does not matter if set to Real Time or Timeshift.
I had a bit of trouble upgrading Ubuntu but everything else seems to be ok.  I did update nextpvr and the Kodi addon.

  M3U Update
Posted by: jrockow - 2024-08-03, 05:48 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

I'm working with a web-based IPTV .m3u list.
The name of the list remains constant, but the tokens change frequently, so it needs to be updated every hour.
(the list was designed to be used with a player like Televizo)

I have no problem importing the list as a IPTV device, but after a few hours it stops working.
I don't think there's any way NPVR can handle this?

NextPVR won't record from Ceton InfinitiTV 6
Posted by: DavidNYC78 - 2024-08-03, 01:03 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (3)

Hi.  I have a Windows 11 computer running NextPVR v4 (for some reason, v5 wouldn't set up properly) with a Ceton InfinitiTV 6 card. Everything was working fine up until a couple of days ago, but now NextPVR won't record anything.  When I go to Show Status, it says it's recording on every channel, but nothing is being written to the disk.  I tried restarting the recording service.  That helped with this happened the other day, but now restarting the service and rebooting my computer don't seem to be helping.

When I go to the setting on my Ceton, everything looks like it's working.  Signals being receiving.  Signal strength okay, not great (I have a card in another computer that looks like it's working fine).  Looks like I'm getting a signal lock even though past recordings come up as "No errors, but no data delivered.  This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal".

Anyone have any ideas what the issue might be?  Feels like it's much more likely to be a software or Windows service issue than anything.

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Falling at the first hurdle - Frozen install?
Posted by: mellman - 2024-08-02, 03:45 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (17)

Just been recommended to give NextPVR a try by someone on a subreddit following a discussion on IPTV recording.

Followed the instructions on the website to download the client and all looks well however the install bar reaches full green and then has been like that for around 20-25 minutes, I've checked my program files directory and it appears to have installed files however I'm not sure if it's hanging/still doing something - is this a typical experience? I've downloaded and installed something else in the meantime and it resolved instantly, so I don't think it's a network connection issue.

Settings section - Devices and Channels pages not loading
Posted by: kevwag - 2024-08-01, 05:05 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (51)

I was messing around in the C:\Users\public\NPVR-data\scripts folder, basically trying to make the postloadEPG script to copy pluto-xmltv.xml to a git folder and then run a commit, thus uploading my xmltv files to my github site so they can be accessed online.

Everything appeared to work fine until I went back to the NPVR admin page and clicked the "Update EPG" button. Clicking this button now does nothing except the page resets to the top. The same thing happens when I try to open the "Devices" and "Channels" pages.

Everything else on the admin site still works and I can watch the channels on kodi with no problems. It even seems to be updating the epg from my xmltv file, it's just those couple of pages that don't work and I now need them to change a few channels.

I've tried deleting everything in the scripts folder (except the plutotv folder) and restarting the service but the problem still persists, any ideas?

Pi5 / Firefox 128.0 - ctrl key in devices screen does not work
Posted by: TheRealRoland - 2024-08-01, 04:38 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (4)

Got a Pi5 with Kodi and NextPVR going. Was tinkering with IPTV channels. Wanted to remove IPTV devices when done. Couldn't figure out how. Found the manual, it says to press CTRL for more options on these devices.

The option of pressing CTRL while in the Devices list does not show the Disable and Delete options when running Firefox 128.0 on the Pi5 standard OS.

It does on a windows machine pointing to that same nextpvr instance.

Perhaps add this to the list of bugs?

Thanks,

R.
