I installed a new GPU : ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6600, 8GB
and after doing so there is horrible audio cuts/skips, very frequent cuts.
4k True-DTS, Dolby Atmos videos work perfectly.
I have restarted the server the nextpvr service sits on, restarted the service, and played with the transcoding to no avil.
I have checked for updates and am running on 6.1.5.231022
This is partially a NextPVR question, and a cry for help about a bigger problem that I thought someone on this board may know.
I'm using a Pinnacle PCTV 800i on Windows 10 64. This is a PCI card, and the drivers are marked as being Windows 7 64 drivers, but after pointing each of the 3 unresolved devices in device manager to this driver, they installed and looked happy. It's connected to OTA antenna in the US.
In the NextPVR Devices section in the web GUI, I see
-IPTV Device
-ATSC - Digital Tuner (#0)
-QAM - Digital Tuner (#0)
-QAM - QAM Digital Tuner (#0)
If I scan "ATSC / All Frequencies" on the ATSC tuner, it goes through the motions but finds nothing. I tried the QAM ones too just in case but they don't find anything. The backend status only has ".....Devices". How can it display devices in the GUI but not in the backend status?
I tried some other tests. Virtualdub doesn't list any input sources. The included Pinnacle application gives an error when scanning. I even wiped the drive and installed Windows 7 and it still doesn't work.
Lastly, I ran a Linux live CD and bingo, Kaffeine will scan channels and display them! So the card is good, and this is all in the same computer.
I don't get it. It's clear that despite the card's devices looking good in device manager, something is missing. Are there any other things I can try? Any applications/utilities that might give me some clues? I don't understand how these can look normal in device manager yet not produce available input sources.
I changed admin/password and enabled remote streaming. I am not able to access out of network. What do I need to do?
Do I need to run something that can keep my ip the same? I am using an ISP that has a modem you cannot directly connect to. Command prompt shows a different IP than "whats my ip" shows. I can use channelsdvr and plex, but not npvr.
I have a combo of over the air channels and IPTV channels. When I open a connection to a IPTV source and I check the Device Status page I see 1 connection to the IPTV source. If I go to another device and open another stream of the same IPTV channel it opens a second connection to the IPTV source as seen in the Device Status page. Is there a way if a second device tries to watch an active connection to an IPTV source could the second device "piggyback" off the active connection instead of opening a second connect?
Hi all. My docker knowledge is less than 1 out of a 100, I’m a copy/paste and hope it works.
Sorry if this line isn’t allowed but I have a terramaster Nas running TOS 5.1 (my 1st actual NAS) I have an app called docker manager.
I have managed to install nextPVR, I have my tuner setup, I have it up and running and have recording working…. Congrats to me….. so far so good. I can see my recordings WITHIN the nextPVR webgui and can play them back, but the folder looks empty. No files at all. Reading up it looks like it’s a user/ permissions issue.
I think that docker is running the app as root, yet the only user on my NAS I’d mine….. let’s say Fred.
In docker manager I can see a tab called “variables” is it possible to add users/ permissions from here?
I just noticed that if I use the guide to schedule a recording, it immediately change the guide entry's background to red. At that time I noticed that a Monday-Friday recurring recording I had previously entered manually does not show red even though it listed in the Scheduler.
I'm running NextPVR on Ubuntu.
The Hauppauge DualHD tuner works fine on all Channels in Koffeine and was working properly as well in NextPVR till a recent reboot.
I have 6 Singapore DVB-T2 channels configured in NextPVR.
NextPVR discovered the channels through a channel search
- Channel 1 & 2 (Channel 5 and Suria) are working fine
- Channel 3 to 6 throw different errors
I either receive a "Streaming failed (transcoder exited)" or "No tuner available for the requested channel" error in the web gui.
The log files attached including 2 successful streams and failed streams with both errors above.
Any help how to further troubleshoot this is appreciated.
