Just wanted to post a quick note in case anyone is having similar issues that I have been having with Plex. I had some headaches getting my Plex server to find new recordings made by NPVR. Reading through the forums I found tons of helpful advice from all of you so most of this can be found though search, but this is what worked for me:
1) disable metadata fetching in npvr's settings misc2 page
2) clear out anything that npvr has already downloaded into the \Media\Shows folder.
3) use ImageGrabLite with the -rename option
hope this helps someone else,
Thanks to all who ask and answer questions here!
Within nPVR 3.3.8, my channels are working fine. I have the add-on enabled in xbmc and when i enter 'Live TV', I see a list of all my channels. However, when I select any of the channels I get the message "Tuner Not Available". The nPVR service is running. I would really appreciate some help with this, thanks.
The Scaling over HDMI has been removed, so you no longer have to go in to CCC and move the slider to 100% for every resolution you use after a clean install.
After using it for about 45 mins this morning, with my HD7770 on a 50" plasma, I think the picture is crisper than its ever been - in addition text in Windows Programs is much more readable.
Its also about a month newer than the Omega 14.12 drivers released last week.
Just started using nDroid a few days ago.... had it all setup and running nicely, then the power went out last night, my NPVR PC rebooted and now it's not working again??
Have tried reinstalling both the app (on Galaxy S5) and the server side. Have also restarted the service - nothing seems to work. Anybody got any ideas?
Windows firewall is off on the server side and all I get is the spinning circle when I launch the app.
When scheduling a recording I would like the ability to choose if and how the recordings will be postprocessed.
I have had this long time problem where recordings following directly after local news won't play on the NMT or Smart TV.
Inspired by BrainStormers success following mvallevands suggestion of remuxing using ffmpeg I gave it a try, and SUCCESS
Now the problem is I don't want to remux all recordings on these channels just the bad ones.
I need a parameter I can set on the scheduling that will either decide which PostProcessing.bat to run or send in as parameter in the command to the existing PostProcesssing.bat.
The parameter may be a configurable list to choose from or anonymous like using the colored dots.
Suggestion - A blue dot would trigger PostProcessingBlue.bat.
Such feature would also be beneficial to people wanting to automaticly transcode certain TV-series for watching on a mobile device etc.
I noticed today that my SiliconDust HDHR locked up and was not responsive. I had to physically reset the device (via power cord) to get it working again.
While it was in this unresponsive state, NPVR behavior was that I'd get a black screen with no notice that there was a problem. See logs below, there is an obvious message "Error: unable to connect to device", however there doesn't seem to be a catch for this error in the code...
I would have suspected, NPVR would have iterated thru my tuner list until it either found a responsive tuner or exhausted the list (and returned an error message to the UI). I have a 2250 that could have served up the channel...
Thoughts?

New to NPVR as I had been using TVHE on Pi, though I've switched to a Windows environment. Great program and very simple to install/configure, however I'm missing some channels (Motors TV for one) that I've watched previously on the Pi setup. My Tx is Blackhill and I have a list of MUXes - can I add the ones missing from the automatic scan manually, and if so how please? Or can I add a channel singularly? I've looked through the menu/setting options extensively but can't see this option.
I hope I'm in the right place... my question has to do with the Auto-Search function in NEWA. I recently switched from usb tuners and a basic HDHR to a HDHRPrime for digital through a cablecard. So, with the change over I lost a lot of my seasonal reoccurring recordings as the channels all changed. I was hoping the Auto-Search would run each day and when the show appears I'd get some sort of notice so I can schedule it. I know there's a auto-record function, but I'd rather have a bit of control over what actually gets scheduled.
I really don't think I understand exactly how it's supposed to work though. I "think" it's supposed to automatically run the saved searches each day a hour after the EPG update and I think I have it working. But how or were do I get the results? I would think there would be a RSS feed, web page or something to see what showed up if anything, but maybe I'm wrong???
Can someone educate me please? I searched, but everything I found was really old and didn't really apply to the new versions.
I'm using Win7, xbmc and kworld hybrid usb tuner with next pvr. i am very new at this, i have managed to get a good video signal but have 0 audio with any channel. Also in xbmc i get message "tuner not available" (but i can deal with that later). right now i'm just trying to get some audio within nextpvr itself. any thoughts? where should i look for the problem? i seem to have these decoders available:
video : microsoft dvt-dvd video decoder, ati mpeg video decoder
audio: microsoft dvt-dvd audio decoder, mpeg audio decoder
here's a look at the decoder settings:

please let me know if you would need more info. i'd really appreciate any help you can offer, thanks.
Hi,
This evening I recorded the xfactor... after about 20 minutes the recording stopped... only the tuner was still apparently being used (as shown in ntray) - It meant that, although I have 2 other tuners, I couldn't switch to watch the show live for some reason.
I stopped the recording, the tuner freed up and I was away again...
Then the same thing happened again a while later??
I've zipped the logs in the hope that someone can identify something that I can't ...
If there's a sudden drop in signal for example, does that cause the recording to stop and the tuner to get stuck...? I woulnd't have thought so...
