  Accessing Patches for NPVR 3.3.8
Posted by: smacrae - 2015-04-05, 11:20 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

Hi

Just looking in the support thread and trying to access the patches but keep getting a message that the forums is getting moved....if that's the case no problems I'll sit back and wait however it seems new posts are getting published so I am a little perplexed.

Just in case someone can help, I am running NextPVR 3.3.8 and Kodi 14.2 and it seems my channels mapping is incorrect in the EPG, I searched the forum before it was to be moved by Sub and I found a new NRecord.dll which I put in place of the old on and also copied (tried with and without) other DLL for the Kodi PC.....tried reseting my EPG, clearing the channels, resetting the dB etc. etc...still shows wrong...in XNEWA it is correct though.

Love it if anyone knows what it is....I tried to access the patch 6, not sure if it will just link to what I've tried above.

Hi there.
Using the latest version of Next PVR, I deleted all my program and TV channel data and rescanned all the TV channels, then set some programs to manually record, and instead of recording the program at 6TongueM like I've told it to, it's recording at 5:pm instead. how do I fix this? can anyone help?
Thanks.

Tuner card not getting channels my TV does
Posted by: whiterabbit - 2015-04-05, 03:45 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

I have digital cable through Cox and I have 1 HDDVR from them and 3 other TV's around the house that all get around 150+ channels with being just plugged into the wall with no set top box. I just got a TV tuner card for my desktop to use with a projector in my game room but it only picks up 27 channels that are mostly news and boring stuff. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've tried scanning with all of the detected devices and with all different combinations of scan settings. Any help is greatly appreciated.

"11:02:48 T:140307798656768 NOTICE: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: Disabling recording update. Update NextPVR to v3.4"

Thanks

Using NextPVR to Record Roku 3
Posted by: Jim.Sputnik - 2015-04-03, 05:26 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

I am thinking of buying a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 and an HDMI stripper from Amazon to record from the Roku 3 using NextPVR. Would this work? I used GB-PVR for many years with my SD setup, and it worked great.

  Kodi, live tv locks up
Posted by: sfatula - 2015-04-03, 07:28 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Had been using kodi with nextpvr, via tv menu in Kodi. So, I do tv -> channels, and pick a channel that only sometimes is in range. Used to be, if not working right now, ot would timeout with some message as the channel isn't working at that time. Now, it simply locks the machine, kodi locks, no keys do anything. Something not working with the timeout, which is set in Kodi to 10 seconds.

I did load the last Kodi version recentl, as opposed to the Beta eight before it. Had been working, ot sure if the last kodi 14 update broke something or not.

Question about back to back recordings
Posted by: saitoh183 - 2015-04-02, 01:25 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Im currently using ServerWMC as pvr with Emby/Kodi and it has a problem with not being able to manage back to back recordings using one tuner and i wonder if NPVR suffers from the same problem. Basically Lets say i have TVshow 1 at 7h30 that last 30mins and then TVshow 2 at 8h00.

TVShow 1 has a pre-padding 2min and a post-padding 0 min
TVShow 2 has a pre-padding 0min and a post-padding 2 min

WMC always ends up stopping TV show 1 1min or 2 after the show ends instead of right away which ends up putting the start of TVshow 2 at the end of TVshow 1 recording.

Would i expericence this problem if i swicth to NPVR. I was told on the Kodi Forum that this is a WMC problem and that nothing can be done since i only have 1 tunner and that i would need a second tuner to get around it. I use a HDPVR Colossus and i only have one set top box so i cant get a second tuner since i dont have a second box to plug it to.

Live TV Time Shifting with Kodi 14.2
Posted by: dark41 - 2015-04-02, 11:33 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Hi,

I've searched the forum but found no answer that I understand. I was using MediaPortal with Frodo 12.3 and everything was working great, until my motherboard died. I put my OS hard drive in a new system, and everything except MediaPortal worked again. So I've had to start over with Kodi 14.2 and NPVR. Single Windows 7 system, not on a network, and a Hauppauge HVR-2210 TV tuner card.

I've setup and shared a recording folder in NPVR settings, but I see no options for time shifting. In Kodi Live TV the channels work correctly, but the pause, rewind, and fast forward buttons are greyed out. I'd like it to start recording whatever channel I'm watching on Kodi as soon as I switch to that channel, so that I can rewind back to when I started watching it, or pause, without having to manually record each channel. Is this possible with NPVR?

I've read on this forum people say to "uncheck the 'use live preview mode' setting in the config app", but I have no idea what app they're referring to. I don't see that option on NPVR, Kodi, or WinTV8. What am I missing?

Thanks Smile

  Show artwork method
Posted by: psycik - 2015-04-02, 08:41 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (31)

Should I get a result from this when running against 3.3.8? And what will it return if the show does not have art?

I just seem to get a 404 every time I try it from a browser.

Removing commericals - tools to cut segments form h.264 files
Posted by: psycik - 2015-04-01, 08:52 PM - Forum: Add-ons (3rd party plugins, utilities and skins) - Replies (5)

Planning on revisiting my use of comskip. I've got the donator version so that's all good. But the cutting part of the equation seems to be the too hard basket for a lot of people.

There's talk of using videoredo - but as far as I can tell that doesn't have a command line interface and may require using a batch project file.

AVIDemux can do commercial cutting, but seems to need to do it graphically, and ffmpeg, the other logical choice looks like it needs to split each segment up then combine them back together.

Does anyone have something automated, that will chop up a video - doesn't necessarily need to convert it removing the ads based on some sort of cut file?

I know a lot of us moved on from doing this as skipping go so easy to use. I'm finding now using nextpvrweb on samsung, my own plex channel, and it's safer to not attempt any skipping at all as you get really unpredictable results. So would like to look at physically removing ads.
