I am running Kodi 14.2 and I have 3 IPTV clients. IPTV Simple Client, Stalker Client, and NextPVR Client. NextPVR runs fine under Windows with my WinTV 1600 card. Unfortunately, I have to disable Stalker Client in order to get NextPVR to get the channels to display in Kodi 14.2. Stalker and IPTV seem to coexist under Kodi. I am using Analog Cable.
Having used NPVR for a few months to trial it out and get it ready for my new home, the time has come to move and put a setup together.
Currently:
Single dish, pointing at Sky 28.2E
Single DVBT Aerial.
1x Quad DVBS Card (only 2 ch used)
1x Quad DVBT Card (all 4 ch used)
I have three clients around the house and it's all perfect. I can view DVBT HD and Sky FTA fine - I've also successfully used my viewing card in a reader, but thats' by-the-by.
My next set up will be a lot of more involved, and it's going to an empty house so I want to do it right. Presently, I've thought of:
1.0m dish
Multiconnect 4 LNB holder
4 x LNB (Was thinking of 3x Dual, direct to the PC. 1x Quad with 2 in to Sky box and 2 into the PC)
Satellites will be:
Eurobird @ 9E (Dual)
Hotbird @ 13E (Dual)
Astra1 @ 19.2E (Dual)
Astra2 @ 28.2E (Quad - 2 into NPVR, 2 into STB as a backup).
I'll have 2 x Quad DVBS cards to take the 8 inputs and distribute around.
Each room will have a TV + Kodi over ethernet, 8 rooms in total. Most likely to have 4 instances at anyone time.
People keep telling me I need a multiswitch, but do in this instance?
I seem to having problems with my new hdhomerun 4dc in combination with oscam/newcs (I switched back to newcs today for a new test). At first I thought it was because my cable company changed the settings, but today I found out things are working fine when I use my other tuner (digital devices internal tvcard). In the logs I do the same thing twice. Once with the hdhomerun and once with the digital devices tuner, using the exact same setup with acamd and newcs. The tuner setup has selected Multidec for both tuners with three instances, MDplugin directories are the same. Can someone tell me what the trick is to get this working?
I switched from Windows Media Center to NextPVR. With WMC, when there is not enough disk space for new recordings, oldest recordings are automatically deleted to make space for new recordings.
I have never participated in a forum before but I am at the edge of sanity. I cannot get my KODI to work with nextpvr. When I try to view a channel I get no turner available. Everything I see online and kodi says to check the log. Whereâs this log and what is am I looking for on the log. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have 2 rpi running the newest openelec and 3 pcs running kodi 14.2 and itâs the same. Finds the channels gives the epg but I get the no turner available error when I try to view a channel.
I am running NextPVR 3.3.8 with a HDHR prime (3 tuner). I use schedules direct for channels. On the same machine (i5 NUC) I am running MediaBrowser now Emby. Recently, all live tv and EPG have not been able to be seen in emby and under the Live TV tab I get an Internal Error 500. I can see live tv on my Amazon Fire TV's that are pointed at NextPVR and all my recordings are working from Kodi.
When working with the Emby tech he had me run the following:
Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 97, position 33.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Xml.XmlException: Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 97, position 33.

I followed it (I noticed the XBMC_NextPVR_win32.dll is now called Kodi_NextPVR_win32.dll on Kodi 14.2).
Unfortunately replacing these two files (ensuring the NextPVR service is shutdown in services) and restarting Kodi, and no matter how many times I reset the database in the Advanced/Experted settings I still get the incorrect numbering/channel logos rendered in the Kodi EPG....
The channel changing/starting up and everything else (no buffering for me) is excellent...but the EPG being out is really frustrating...does anybody know what I may be doing wrong?
A few months ago, I purchase WD Green 2TB drive just for storing OTA TV shows thinking that would be more than enough. As it turns out, the recording are in TS format and taking up 6GB for a 1 hour show. I have 37 shows stored on the hard drive taking up 1.27 TB!
Hoping to avoid purchasing another hard drive/deleting episodes.
Prefer to keep the metadata and do a on the fly conversion it to another format.
So, I have 2 question:
1) Does anyone know what program will convert to a different file format using command line?
2) If so, what would be the command line parameters for use in PostProcessing.bat?
