Hi,
This evening I recorded the xfactor... after about 20 minutes the recording stopped... only the tuner was still apparently being used (as shown in ntray) - It meant that, although I have 2 other tuners, I couldn't switch to watch the show live for some reason.
I stopped the recording, the tuner freed up and I was away again...
Then the same thing happened again a while later??
I've zipped the logs in the hope that someone can identify something that I can't ...
If there's a sudden drop in signal for example, does that cause the recording to stop and the tuner to get stuck...? I woulnd't have thought so...
Here's a beta test version of iGL that has a basic import. I'm going through an annual ritual of a on month rental to record all the Homeland episodes to watch during the Holidays. Since I get them from OnDemand while I catch up, I don't have metadata. This import has a very specific logic to get the file from thetvdb It wants the input file to be Show S##E## so for my Homeland example,
I take the file from my HDPVR C:\Recordings\Homeland\2014_11_13_11_15_13.ts
Rename it to C:\Recordings\Homeland\Homeland.S04E04.ts
run imageGrabLite --import "C:\Recordings\Homeland\Homeland.S04E04.ts"
and it up with C:\Recordings\Homeland\Homeland.S04E04.Iron in the Fire.ts in my database
There is an optional parameter to pass a channel oid if you want the icon to be from a correct channel.
I'm shaking down a new HDHR Prime and had a problem where starting a recording on the 3rd tuner killed the recording service with 2 other recordings in progress. (One of the in-progress recordings was Nashville, so that was not good.) With the recording service stopped, there were several later failed recordings. When I recognized this and restarted the recording service, I could not delete the failed recordings or what NPVR thought was in in-progress recording. Each attempt to delete a recording killed the recording service with the no connection to 127.0.0.1:8968 error. After the in-progress recording finished (it did not actually record), I was able to start the recording service, and scheduled recordings worked as expected. This morning after things settled down, I was able to delete the failed recordings. Relevant logs and event viewer messages from initial event attached. The Ndigitalhost-24 log is from an OTA tuner that was not in use, AFAIK, at 2230. However, I thought the last message might be of interest.
The initial problem happened at 2230 on 12/10/14. My attempts to delete/correct the condition are at about 2130 on 12/11/14.
In the interest of full disclosure, the 3rd Prime tuner that caused the problem had a channel list copied (export/import) from the Network Recorder install, rather than retrieved from the Prime's own scan. The virtual channel numbers are the same and the channel to be recorded at 2230 was on the 3rd tuner channel list, but there could no doubt be other differences. This may have been the first time the 3rd tuner was called. I have now corrected this, and all 3 Prime tuners have the same channel list. Also, I plan to remove Network Recorder this weekend.
It is me or has there been no new movie trailers showing up for the plugin? I have tried deleting every and starting from a fresh install. I think that last one for me was the new Minions movie.
Therefore, I wanted to find another software and Next PVR was highly recommended. However, when I am in my Devices page, I could not detect my capture card.
Hello!
A full channel scan finds lots of BBC HD channels, including News 24 HD (DVB-T2)
Playing any of the channels EXCEPT NEWS 24 HD works fine... NEWS 24 HD, which I understand to be on the same multiplex, doesn't work....
The only way I can get it to show is to delete it from the DVB-T2 devices and leave it only on the DVB-S device... that way it simply switches to the satellite to pick it up...
Any idea what it would find the channel no problem, but refuse to play it!?!
I';m new to nextpvr and trying to get my wintv-pvr-150 card to work. Im running windows 7 and it does work with Windows Media Center.
I followed the configuration procedure for cards that are do not auto config but still it's not showing in the devices tab.
So I ran the FilterCheck but im not sure i configured the xml file correctly. i have zip the filtercheck text file and the AnalogDevice xtml file into one zip file. can some one check it out to see if I have done it correctly?
Would it possible to add multiple live buffer paths? I have a machine that has 2 - USB cards and the dual channel Hauppauge video card. I also have dataram cache and a SSD drive. When viewing multiple channels I would like the card cache to different areas. Questions; Would that cause a problem? Second, does nextpvr cache the recording first or write the show straight to the TV SHOWS folders?
I have been developing an application which allows the EPG from Next PVR to be viewed on Windows and Windows Phone. You can read more at https://animalhousesoftware.wordpress.com/next-pvr-epg/. I'm looking for a small number of people to act as beta testers. If you are interested, please PM me, with your name, email, country of residence, main language and the number of channels that you have tuned in on your Next PVR. Also, please indicate which of the following devices you have:
Windows Phone 8.1 with standard resolution display (800x480)
Windows Phone 8.1 with high-resolution display (1080p)
Windows 8.1 tablet such as Surface/Surface 2 with an ARM processor
Desktop computer or laptop running Windows 8.1 with an Intel processor
Directv was nice enough to send me a new receiver. The new receiver (h24) can be connected into the home network and can be controlled via sending signals (ie, change channel) across the network to this receiver. Up until this point I have been using the Hauppauge IR blaster to change channels but this new way is faster and more reliable.
Can anybody help with the method and syntax for accomplishing this task?
