I have another problem after my installation of the latest version, that may or may not be related to my other thread about "Object reference not set..."
I tried to enter a specific set of recordings (Storm Chasers in this case) from the "Ready Recordings".
Trying to do so throws a JustInTime error box, with the title "The path is not of a legal form" and the attached content.
I use alot of .m3u playlist and I can't seem to get them to play in MusicBox by using the enter key or the play button. Wondering if I am missing a keyboard shortcut or something.
Last week, my TV died. I wasn't home. There was lightning & my wife said that it sounded like it hit near the house. We haven't seen any evidence outside. My TV & everything else are plugged into a UPS with surge protection. The TV stopped working. (It also killed a phone on the other side of the house.) I tried various things. The OSD works fine. All the menus display. None of the inputs work (HDMI, Component, Composite). I hooked up an antenna & it seemed to work for the channels I tried via ATSC. I moved the other TV & all the devices work fine attached to it. So, I know it isn't the cables or devices. The TV is a Panasonic TH-42PE77U.
Does anybody have any idea if this sounds like something I could repair myself for significantly less than the price a new 42" plasma of similar quality, like a Panasonic or Samsung?
I'm a newbee with NPVR. I'm trying to get live tv up and running but no go so far.
This is my setup:
Windows 8.1 pro, firewall disabled.
USB dongle RTL2832u, drivers auto installed by Windows when plugging in the dongle.
Installed the SAF codec pack.
-chanannel search ok
-tried several codec settings
I noticed that the file in c:/temp stays at 0 bytes. So it looks like that there is no information coming from the dongle.
I noticed the last few weeks that I am missing shows that should have been recorded.
At first I thought perhaps the shows were missed due to TV network scheduling.
This morning I discovered that the shows were actually recorded, displayed in my recordings list, but somehow mysteriously deleted.
At the time the show was deleted, as far as I know I was just doing the normal skipping around in the listings.
Next thing I know the show no longer shows up in my list, and the actual file was deleted.
One example of this problem is a show called "The Sixties".
If you could take a look at the log files when you get time I would appreciate any help you can give.
I've just installed NextPVR to use it with XBMC and cannot get the webserver or XBMC support running.
Device-detection and watching channels using NextPVR itself works so far.
netstat -a -b doesn't show any activity on port 8866, but a few other ones:
I just recently installed 3.2.9 over 2.5.9 after installing .Net 4.0.
I get occasional errors when trying to schedule new recordings - not every time, but occasional. NPVR thows a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" dialog box. I've attached the contents of that dialog box as well as logfiles.
In this example, I try to QuickRecord "The Godfather 3". As I can see, it complains over some elements missing in the skin. I have tried to change between the default skins to no avail. Relevant part of log here:

During the installation process, i can se (due to repeated attempts) that it skips the majority of files it is treating. I can unfortunately not find the log that records what goes on during installation (where would it be?), and it's impossible to copy from the info-window that can be seen while installing. I have tried running the installation as administrator, but same result.
I suspect, that the error I see is due to all parts not being installed properly.
How can I get the installation program to do a proper installation (still keeping my settings and DB intact of course)?
