Is there a way so that I can create for example 2 new channel groups called children, and the other adults and copy specific channels into it?
I like to copy them into it so that I dont take them out of the default channel group they come from. Also as some channels both groups will have access to.
Additionally, is there a way to lock certain channel groups so that children cant see them?
Hello.... I remember Sub informing me that is possible to create function to perform a post record action.
Been trolling thru old postings, but can't find the particular advice thus far.
Am wondering if recording to a fast drive like an NVME m.2 drive, and then when recording is complete, having it automatically get moved to my NAS is possible?
At one stage, sub suggested a method, where it copies the recording, and then somehow updates the database.
For the most part, my NAS seems to work admirably, but at times when NAS is performing Maintenace tasks, I find that a bit of weirdness like stutter happens until the NAS catches up.
Thinking of Sub's suggestion from that time.
Hi Support,
I'm rebuilding my DVR on Linux Mint 21.2 because my Mint 19.x has become end-of-life. In order for Nextpvr to see my Hauppauge 2255 card, I remember having to install two pieces of firmware. I still have both of those files saved locally, but I can't remember how I installed them way back when so that the Hauppauge card is recognized by Mint and Nextpvr. The files are named NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw and NXP7164-2010-04-01.1.fw. My new install of Mint and Nextpvr are up and running, I just need your help waking up the card.
Thanks,
Mark
I am wanting to explore the plutotv extra but noticed that a donation needs to be made, what level of donation is required to unlock the ability for these features to work?
I have a Hauppage Dual Tuner module. It works fine as long as there is only 1 movie recording. Yesterday I recorded 2 movies at the same time, and the 2nd movie is dead blank, like the 2nd tuner is not turned on. (the movie created 1 minute earlier is fine). What did I do wrong?
Note that Schedules Direct will shortly be doing maintenance
Expected start time is 2023-09-01 @ 2100 CDT / 2023-09-02 @ 0200 UTC.
I don't know how long the outage the announcement is here. https://forums.schedulesdirect.org/viewt...868#p10868 I expect some EPG updates especially in Europe could fail as a result if users are updating in the maintenance windows.
Sub has been testing the change and SD did make some changes to and we haven't seen anything that should impact v6 users. If you notice something after maintenance completes, maybe post here.
V4 users will continue to have known issues with login etc.
I have a Hauppauge WinTV-quad HD tuner card which has served me well. I am now wanting to install a second tuner card so I can install an another antenna to additional channels from the other direction. I am wondering if I use a different tuner card if it would be better able to pull in channels from a further distance or does a tuner make little distance. In other others do tuners have the ability to amplify the signal before pushing it out to the TV or recording it. I know (or at least been told) it makes a difference for car stereos, so I was wondering if it makes a difference in this case.
Anybody know if putting in an inline amplifier would help?
Windows10 machine with monitor off.
Since 2\3 months scheduled recordings always fail. Instead I get an empty file. With ending ts.old. I still get correct show name and series folder. It could be related to updating to version 6.1 although not sure. Manual recordings of live TV still work as normal.
Yesterday all recordings failed!
I have 5 available tuners DVBS-2 X2, DVBT2 X2 plus 1 SAT>!P (other tuners elsewhere for live TV)
Testing earlier today by switching tuners around I was able use all 5 tuners to watch live TV.
16:50 I rebooted the server.
17:00 I recorded 4 channels. 2 channels recorded correctly and 2 were zero bytes.
At 17:11 I was able to watch a channel live
At 17:12 Live TV on another channel failed.
At 17:14 Live TV worked on another channel
Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Trying to use the nextpvr plugin for jellyfin and running into some problems.
* Both jellyfin and nextpvr are in docker containers
* both apps work fine on their own
When I try to use nextpvr (LiveTV) within jellyfin, it does launch the stream. The problem I'm running into is a few seconds to a minute or two later, the stream hangs. It seems that as soon as it takes any kind of transcoding hiccup/error it stops the stream and wont resume.
I do not see this issue using nextpvr directly but am trying to get it working under jellyfin so I can use it on my TV's that have firesticks and/or native jellyfin support.
Anyone have any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting?
