I have an HD-Homerun and had successfully run NPVR v. 4 a few years ago. Just installed v. 6 and went through the initial setup. It found my tuners, got the channels correctly, and got my EPG info correctly from Schedules Direct. Both the Channel list and guide look correct. In both web and desktop interface. But, I cannot play live TV on any channel, in either interface. In the web interface I get the red letters "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)."
I attach the zip file of logs in the hope that somebody may be able to help me.
Is there a way you could implement a way to indicate if a file has had an interruption or completed ok after the recording process finishes?
I use channelsDVR, but only in rare cases that I can't get solid results here on NPVR. They have that feature the shows whether it was delayed or interrupted during the recording process.
I prefer NPVR or anything else, as I've been using it for years. It's served me well so I help support it monthly.
It would just be a nice layer of protection and peace of mind when wondering if the recording finished ok. That way I can make sure everything recorded can go into the archives. Another reason I prefer NPVR is due to the recordings being written in .ts instead of .mpg like channelsDVR does.
Thank you for such great software and thanks for your time!
Much appreciated!
My IPTV provider has a large VOD library but it doesn't seem to be picked up by NextPVR.
The VOD section appears for only a moment when first booting up NPVR and then disappears. When I manually visit the VOD e.g http:/ip:8866/vod.html I see a drop down but there is nothing when I click it.
Is there a process to add VOD I am missing?
I know that the VOD service does work as I have other apps on my set top boxes which can access. I am working towards switching exclusively to NextPVR
Having major issue trying a new install via the *.deb file. The server status indicates it is running but nothing on x.x.x.x:8866, 127.0.0.1:8866 or localhost:8866. I have been using NPVR for many years now running under Elementary OS v6 but it cannot be upgraded now without a clean install so Ive switched to a more user friendly distro but I need my Nextpvr. Any ideas, suggestions?
Hi,
I use a NextPVR server on Windows 10 with Kodi as frontend. It is great. I also use the web interface at port 8866 on my mobile.
I am looking for another stream server solution like the one that runs at the web interface but it should be separate from the installation above and run alongside the NextPVR server on that machine. The web interface at port 8866 compresses the file which is very important for a mobile playback on 4G net.
Can i use NextPVR for as a streaming server only that runs on the same windows pc? Btw, i tried Jellyfin for this but Jellyfin did not deliver a smooth playback and used considerably ressources while it should be idle which is why a currently have stopped the service while i consider what to do.
Are there other lightweight solutions that stream and also compresses the file? thanks
Thanks for all the support this forum offers, together we have solved two complex issues for me and I hope this one is a simple one.
I have got com skip working properly, generating edl files etc, which I'm very pleased to have managed!
My question is, will the ATV client automatically skip the ads like the other clients, or will I need to run comcut to remove them from the video file?
is there any way to remove unused devices from device list?
I tried to go on devices in settings on my acount on web browser then move the the desired device to the bottom, press and hold the "ctrl" key on keyboard but nothing happens.
I have both DVB-S and DVB-T tuners and the scan is fine for DVB-T where the scan completes and then I can do a 'filter by channel group' which greatly helps to weed out the unwanted channels. Doing the same for DVB-S has no option for 'filter by channel group' after the scan. Have I missed a config option or is it just not there?
