Hi,
Really struggling with this one after lots of searching....
I use 2x USB HD Freeview Tuners... they scan for channels no problem... picking up both SD channels and 4 HD channels available in the area.
The EPG doesn't come over the air, but I get around that with TVXML proggie and the channels then appear in NextPVR no problem.
So far - all good!!!
However, when I come to play an HD channel - black screen and no sound... switch to SD version and it comes on straight away.
I've tried all manner of decoding options in the drop down boxes, nothing seems to work. I've installed PowerDVD and tried those codecs too...
Anyone managed to get the HD channels showing? Please share you ideas!
Cheers,
John
key points
- 2013 model with dual core (so fast)
- smart hub (so can run apps including nextpvr for samsung )
- its pretty cheap for NZD$200
Personally I would buy this over a cheaper 2012 device if you happen to find a cheap 2012 device (they go on special at times).
They're on clearance so I'd grab one while you can.
My local goodguys, manukau, didnt have any in stock (said they were getting stock on tuesday) so I went to JBhifi and got them to price match it (they had plenty of stock).
I think all the frequencies changed ,had recordings with no data delivered
rescanned and now its recording fine
Just thought id post this for anyone else with recordings not happening from midnight last night.
Also the reason prime may not be working for some people they have unencrypted it on the sky frequency so you have to rescan it in from there (Optus d1 full scan you get all the sky stations and it takes ages)
Prime used to be on the same frequency as tv3 so they have stopped the duplication of the station
In the config window, I am getting the warning "The DirectX runtime is not available on this machine". However, i have installed the Runtime referred in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...arted-Info and the dxdiag looks ok to me.
Just tried 311 and my install (upgrade) went fine. Thanks for all your hard work.
But, I do have one serious problem (WAF). I cannot control the main menu functions with my remotes. The mouse and keyboard work OK, but the top level menu commands from the remote don't work. It's seems to be only the top level commands. If I start a video (live or recorded) with the mouse, some of the remote commands do work. I can play, stop, skip, but I can't exit back to the main menu.
I'm using the standard Hauppauge IR remote SW and receiver connected to a 2250 on Win7. I've done the simple things, reinstalled the IR driver and restarted without success. It seems that the menu functions are much slower than with ver 262. Could this be a response time issue? Any thoughts?
The next version of x-newa I previewed here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...eleon-quot is available for preview. Because I expect there will be a few updates to x-newa and to the web client interface over this release I have created, with the help of whurlston's web site an xbmc repository to allow online updates.
I will do my write-up on Chameleon in another post, the purpose of the pre-release is to confirm the repo is working. To install the repo download this zip file http://xbmc.epgtools.com/repository.next...lugins.zip and install it like any other xbmc addon directly from the zip
Alternatively you can add http://xbmc.epgtools.com to System -> File manager -> Add source and you can install the repository directly
Since you should be able to load x-newa after this here is a pre-release FAQ
- lots of settings changes to be documented
- to exit web client hit C or your context menu key
- if you it exit on the NextPVR menu you restart the client, sub hasn't implement exit notification, so wait 10 seconds for it to restart
- If you setup NextPVR as the interface the next time you start x-newa it will jump into the web client UI
- if you do want to go back from auto starting NextPVR mode you hit Ctrl-X with the UI up
- web client only really tested with a keyboard, mouse and touch won't work, some remote keys will work
If I enter more than two characters in search :
After 20 seconds or so I get either a message Newa may not be started or an NPVR lockup.
When the issue occurs there are these lines in NPVR.log [attached]
2013-10-12 10:18:09.011 [DEBUG][1] Looking for missing assembly(1): C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\SearchLite\SearchLite.XmlSerializers.dll

Hi
I have just installed NPVR v3.1.1 and find the best plugin I use is not working with this vesion.
So far I have found that when you alter the settings in the plugin menu non of them are saved after exit.
When you link pictures to programs from 'Find More' they are not created or saved in the plugin.
Looks like I'm going back to the old version until this plugin is fixed.
Regards
Bob
Hi, the output xml file from EPG collector for the HD channels in the UK (DVBT) just has the description as "huffman text" then some random characters.
It used to work fine, what have I messed up....?
thanks
EDIT
doh. found a checkbox in epg collector to use huffman tables.... Think that's sorted it.
Prime has moved transponders therefore you will need a new 1600 OPTUS D1 FTA (160.0E).ini (attached).... (or use the full OPTUS D1 (160.0E)) to tune it...... this was meant to be included in the new 3.1.1 version but somehow seems to have got missed at the last minute
