Hi.
All can be working fine, then restart machine and USB tuners (PCTV 290e) can then not be found / opened. They appear in the device manager fine. Sometimes unplugging and plugging in somewhere else will force them to be found. Very annoying.
When they are detected SD and HD is working absolutely fine.
I deleted the logs and opened nextpvr, tried to play a channel and then exited.
I've uploaded my logs in the hope that some light can be shed!
Thanks,
John
After upgrading to 3.1.1, I cannot get NEWA or MobileNEWA or the Windows Desktop Gadget to work. Here is the error when trying to access on the same machine using localhost:8866

Ok! - here's one for you... after lots of playing around I got 2.6.2 working with HD channels the works.
Thought I'd give 3.1.1 a go on this machine too - ran the update after stopping everything... service wouldn't start. If I uninstall and put 2.6.2 back the service will start no problem... put 3.1.1 back and the service won't start! Gives "Error 1067 - The process terminated unexpectedly"
Any ideas!??! ;-) Don't think logs will help, as the service simply won't start in control panel/sevices.... nothing helpful in event log either.
Thanks,
John
Greetings! First off, thanks (again) to Sub and anyone/everyone involved in getting the latest version of NPVR out!
If I choose Videos from the menu, navigate to a folder containing one or more videos, play one, and then ESCape out of it, the list of video titles will scroll up and down with just the movement of the mouse - no buttons on the mouse are pressed and the scrollwheel isn't touched. If I left-click on a title to select it then everything works as you'd expect until you play another video and then come out of it. It doesn't seem to happen with either the TV Guide or if I'm viewing Pictures. I haven't seen this happen on any previous versions of either NPVR or GB-PVR, or any other programs. I don't have any issues when using a Logitech Harmony remote set up to mimic the 45-button Hauppauge remote, only when using a mouse.
I'm currently running NPVR 3.1.1 on an Intel C2Q system running 64-bit Windows 7, NVidia GTX560 graphics card with the latest NVidia reference drivers 331.40 (also happened with version 327.23). The mouse is a Logitech RX1000 Laser. I'm using the default skin in horizontal mode and the UI mode is PVR.
I updated by stopping the NPVR Recording service and closing down the NPVR taskbar icon before installing the new version. Had the problem, updated the NVidia drivers, still had the problem so uninstalled and then re-installed latest version of SAF 6.22. Still have the problem.
Hope I've given enough info for someone to see if it's a bug or just something specific to my system? I can supply more info if needed. Thanks in advance.
This is something that's never been a problem with the UK sat channels before, but after some transponder rejiggin' there's now a couple of channels that don't have the correct audio by default.
If you alt+g toggle you can find the right audio though - is there any way that information can be specified in the tuning details or in the DB, or better yet, could NPVR remember the last selected track on a per-channel basis?
If you visit http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php and search for VIVA you'll find it. The audio should be the one marked "2350 eng". Confusingly, the other tracks are all English too; but they must be for other channels.
I could probably provide a short dump of the channels in question if it would help.
Don't really know how I should explain this but the function of the left+right arrows on the keyboard when having NPVR in Horizontal mode ("Preferred Style" in the settings menu) is really not behaving as expected.
First press to the right after starting NPVR does not register, continue moving right works fine but trying to move to the left NPVR continues another step to the right, but the next step to the left works fine again. Same behavior is also valid for moving to left and then trying to move to the right.
i upgraded to the new version and it seems to work fine other than when I go into recordings none of my old recordings are there. I checked the settings and the proper directory is setup still.
Hi, first I want to say how great of a program this is. Love it!!!
Here's the issue i have with the new update. Every morning since I updated from 2.6.2 to 3.1.1 I wake up and notice the little "N" in the tray is red, meaning one of my HDHomerun tuners is being used. When I click the N icon, one of the tuners says: Recording c:\devxxxxxx\null.ts When it shows that, only one tuner can be used, so I have to restart the NPVR service to clear it and be able to use both tuners.
I don't have anything recordings scheduled in the morning so i took a look at the NRecord.log and it seemed to be related to my EPG update set for 3am. Unfortunately, I saved the wrong log file so I need to pull one out after tomorrows update. I did save the correct ndigitalhost20.log which shows that null.ts issue also, so i'll post that.
I tried searching for this issue and found a few people with similar issues, but none seemed to be resolved (or from what I read). I'm running windows 8 and my computer is always on (never sleeps).
The one thing I noticed on the NRecord.log (which again, i saved the wrong one so lost it) is that when 2 of my stations which do not pull EPG info from schedules direct (via mc2xml) try to update their epg info through the channel , the (c:\devxxxxxx\null.ts) shows up.
I was running 2.6.2 for months and never experienced this issue. Can anyone chime in?
I'm already recording high quality live streams (.TS / mpeg). One hour tv will be around 5 gb.
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to automatically save the same stream as a smaller size video (MP4 / AVI) for sharing (ie. YouTube) or automatically convert the TS after the record has completed?
Anybody who can tell me if an option like this is available?
