I've uploaded nDroid (TE) to Google Play. Please, however, see the "note" on the next line (the one in bold capitals )...

NOTE: I built nDroid (TE) to support only large and x-large screens which means if you have a screen less than 5-6 inches it probably won't show up in Google Play for your device...I just wanted to clarify that to start with. I intend to support smaller screens in future but for the moment I've stuck with larger screens.

I'm looking for testers and feedback. The main goal is to redesign the nDroid UI to make better use of the larger screens on tablets but also to use some of the newer Android features.

And now the disclaimer...it doesn't work, or at least not in the sense that the current release version of nDroid works. At the moment nDroid (TE) is mainly just a design idea which is why I need the feedback.

A brief overview...

It's a completely separate app from the current nDroid version and can be installed without problems on a device which has the current nDroid version. It does need v1.8.8 of the nDroid Service, however. Available from the nDroid (TE) wiki page. Install the new service before trying to use nDroid (TE).

The top right of the nDroid (TE) screen shows various tabs for navigating the different views...

• TV Guide: Only the 7 day TV guide has been implemented and it's not yet possible to set/cancel recordings or watch TV.
  
• Recordings: Top left tabs appear for Recurring, Ready, What's New and Pending. Change the view by selecting the tab or simply swiping the screen. It's not yet possible to watch any recordings however.
  
• Media: Similar to Recordings, selectable tabs top left but also swiping works between Videos and Music. The Media views actually do work as they use the same code as the current nDroid version.
  
• Search: Currently disabled and under construction.
  

Can anyone point me in the right direction -- I am using a Hauppauge Colossus connected via HDMI for both audio and video. Is there any way to control the HD recording bit rate for video / audio and is there a setting for the recording resolution?

Just did a fresh install of npvr yesterday on a win8 64 PC. Everything worked fine except I don't get a picture, just the audio. Going to the Decoders tab in Settings, it only gives me the disabled option which suggests no codecs.

However I check codecs and I do have Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder version 12.0.9200.16429 installed and is listed in the WMP settings.

I checked the log and I do have errors stating npvr cannot find decoders (see attachment)


So I have Decoders installed that other applications can use fine, but npvr can't. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone.

Been trying to get NextPVR working so I can watch TV on my computer. I originally had an HP Elite Desktop that came with a Hauppauge WinTV 1800. It does FM, QAM, ATSC etc.. With windows 7 I was orignally using Windows Media Center.

Today I picked up a new desktop (HP Envy) and moved my 1800 over to it. Installed and updated all the drivers etc. Installed NextPVR and did all the patches. Next PVR lists two devices (ATSC/QAM Hauppauge WinTC 885 BDA Tunder/Demod) U try to scan channels and it says Scan Complete but never finds anything.. Any help would be much appreciated. I am Running Windows 8 64 bit and we have Cox Cable here. Its just standard cable through the line, no cable boxes/digital cable etc

anyone experiencing the same issue? normal webinterface has the epg but webconsole doesn't .

Looking at the <Rules> for "Silent Witness" and "Restless" I understand the "All Episodes" and "All New Episodes" but how is the information for "Royal Institution Christmas Lectures" interpreted as "Daily" from the following XML...

Anyone have any experience with this box running as a client?

I've found a couple of issues with the latest Capture4ME application (1.1.0)

First of all the FFMPEG download crashes after hitting the download button.




Secondly, the peak bitrange setting is not allowing the Colossus's true peak bitrate capabilities of 24000 kbps.




In Arcsofts Showbiz it allows you to crank it up to the 24000 kbps setting.



Could you please update Capture4ME to address these issues?

Since the start of mvpmx2 I've bought a lot a of new equipment, like new phones, a video camera and photo camera's. They all produce fill types which aren't supported by the mvpmcx2 player and nextpvr, but the native pch player can play them. Is there any chance nextpvr and mvpmcx2 will support these in the future? Since they can contain a lot of different file types, I guess the chance isn't very high, so my next question is: is a new client coming our way? I always loved the thin client concept of nextpvr/gbpvr but because of these file types, I'm considering setting up a PC client, so I won't need to convert my original files anymore. But if a new thin client is coming, I'd rather wait and volunter for the test team

For many many years I have set Windows Scheduler to shutdown my PC using a simple batch file normally 10 minutes after the last recording of the evening is due to finish. This method works well provided that I have obviously set the correct time and date. It would be useful if the recording setup page had a tick box that activated a process that updated scheduler automatically to run the shutdown batchfile. I recollect that when I used Showshifter many many years ago that it had such a feature, or perhaps I am suffering from false memories !!.
