Just got around to upgrading to 2.6.2, but it seems doing so has broken my system as my dvb-t device wont start.

My upgrade procedure was as follows:

0. hard drive cleanup+reboot
1. System image+reboot
2. Windows patches (about 7 of them)
3. reboot
4. stop NPVR and run the 2.6.2 installer
5. reboot

All appeared to go smoothly but when I tried live TV I got an unable to find capture device.

I tried it in progdvb and it works ok. So I tired disabling the device in control panel then deleting the device in npvr then rebooting, re-enable the device and then go to settings in npvr to do a scan. The device shows up but when I try and scan I get the unable to start capture device error.

I have 2 tv cards in the box a black gold BGT3650 quad t2 and a tbs dual s2. The s2 card still works ok but I am without any terrestrial tv without the blackgold working.
I'll have to roll back unless I can fix it pretty quickly.

attached are logs from a clean re-boot then an attempt to scan using the black gold, also in the zip is a filtercheck output.

What happens if you backup, then delete the database file, and start fresh with the empty one?

Same.

Just rechecked one of the tuners in progdvb and it's still happy.

I think I'll roll back my system then try the npvr upgrade before the windows updates.

Ok - so I just rolled back to pre windows update and pre NPVR update, then just did the NPVR update and that breaks it again, so I can't blame windows updates.

I was very careful not to install that h264 update, but I'll give it a shot.

I have read that the H.264 update is bundled with the IE 10 update.

That's another one I avoided like the plague.
I've run out of empty house time this weekend so 2.6.2 will have to wait for now.

I just got around to trying this again.

So when I upgrade to the latest version I still get the "unable to start" message on my quad blackgold card.

This time though I disabled the device in control panel, deleted it in NPVR then rebooted and re enabled.

This new version of NPVR detects the device slightly differently, I now see this once it has re detected (ignore the TBS device thats ok):

In the previous version I had 4 DVBC tuners showing, 4 DVBT and 4 DVBT (MCE) tuners - and it was the 4 DVBT devices that I had setup (I ignored the (MCE) ones).

Now after re-detection the two DVBT devices without (MCE) work, but I've lost 2 tuners. the onse with (MCE) start but never deliver any scan results.

Looking for help please.
