Using a HDHomeRun as Tuner and Win7 pc as nPVR server. Tuner selection works fine using the UI for nPVR on server, and the HDHomeRun tuner app. But driving thru Raspbmc LiveTV selection - lots of waiting and eventually a refresh of the channels screen. Logs attached, could not quite figure out what might be wrong by looking at these myself.

btw, sometimes (maybe 1 out of 4 times) the tuner selection works fine and LiveTV rewards me with an actual screen playback. I am using Sub's app.

A couple of wishes that'd be great to have included in NEWA, if not too complicated?

1. I sometimes have occasion to autorecord all games marked (Live) on a specific channel (SETANTA SPORTS), EXCEPT for some types (e.g. with the text "NRL"). See attached e.g. So I'm looking for an Autrocrecord option for a phrase, but with another field (exception phrase, using say commas or semei-colon delimited list).

2. An AND option. e.g. All games marked (Live) AND with only "Crusaders, Hurricanes, Chiefs, Highlanders, Blues" in the Title (or description).

Anyone having success getting closed captioning to work with the ffdshow tryout filter under nPVR (Win7 64-bit)? I'm recording ATSC files (North America, over the air HDTV, .ts files). I can use CTRL-X to bring up the closed caption menu and turn captioning on, but nothing displays on the screen. Closed captioning works fine with the MainConcept decoder, but I get better decoder quality with ffdshow. Any suggestions for getting getting CC with ffdshow or am I just out of luck?

New to NPVR, so please bear with me. I'm running a installation of NPVR on a windows 7 machine with a PCIe Ceton Infinitv 4. Every time I try to tune to a station in NPVR, no matter what station, the video blocks/freezes up after about 1 second. Audio plays until the video freezes, then buzzes momentarily, followed by no audio whatsoever. Logs are attached. Thoughts on what is happening here? I've tried several different rendering and decoder options/combinations, and they all have had essentially the same result...

Did the install and went to settings - devices did not show any devices. have directv dvr on network. should pvr see this box?

I will start with my system setup:
asua p4c800e deluxe mobo
3.4 gig cpu
3 gig mem
nvidia 5950 video card
1Tb wd hard drive for recordings
winxp sp3
NPVR 2.5.9
3 hvr-1600 tunner cards using ATSC (driver ver. 1.62.28243.0)

The setup works perfectly with two hvr-1600s installed but when I add the third one I can record two shows but only one of them is playable and I can not watch a thrid one. If I record one show I am not able to watch another. I have attached my logs.

Does NextPVR support MHEG5 epg for DVB-T in NZ?

I've tried just by clicking "Update EPG" and it does a scan, but only get a very few, now/next, entries.

Or does everyone just use EPGCollector?

I'm pretty sure there isnt currently a way to do this, but is there a way to trigger a channel scan for a device programmatically or via command prompt?

Maybe a hack around a import/export channels or something?

If there isn't please consider adding an API call to do this.

I have two problems setting up nextpvr. It seemed to scan my channels off of my hdhr3 but when I click on live tv it just goes to a black screen with no video and audio. Also it only seems to recognize the first 400 channels out of about a 1000 which means all of my hd channels. Anybody give me a hand here? I have been using wmc on win8 with hdhr3 with a htpc and a Comcast mcard. I want to use next pvr along with xbmc just for the hell of it to give it a try.
