sub - not sure this is nDroid specific or if it's something at the npvr end but I'm wondering if you have any idea what's going on here.

At the nDroid end I'm using the /live?channel=<channel_number> format for a request to the npvr web server which works fine for TV channels but with DVB radio channels the audio only streams for a few seconds then drops out.

In the image, you can see multiple buffer files all with the same date/time. The -22.ts file appeared after a second or two of the request from nDroid but then, a short time after, -23.ts appeared and then -24.ts, -25.ts, -26.ts in quick succession.

The problem occurs because -22.ts (presumably the current live buffer) gets deleted a few seconds later. I'm not sure I can explain it any better - it's weird and different numbers of buffer files appear on different attempts (sometimes 2 or 3) but the original always gets deleted within a few seconds.

I've attached the web.log (renamed web-radio.log).

Hello, on two of my client systems, I get no On Screen Display or info bar at all. Otherwise playback is fine.

Can someone point me to where the problem might be? One thing is that both of these are widescreen TV's, but on my computers with 4:3 monitors the OSD works fine.

I've been tinkering with NPVR off and on over the years. Since Sage's buyout, I've spent a little more time with it. The one thing I can't quite wrap my head around is how to schedule "favorites" or "season passes" whatever you want to call them. I think I figured out a way to do it, but I'm not sure if it is the proper way.

Currently I do an "Episode Search". Then I type in the name of the series I am looking for. I then get a list of results for each airing of the series. I choose one of those and set the options in the popup box. Once I am done setting the options I hit Record this Episode. I then get a message "recording failed". I then manage my recordings and I see that indeed the item is now a recurring recording. Why am I getting the failed message every time?

I have a Hauppauge HDPVR2 connected to my DirecTV sat tuner via HDMI . When I try to watch ‘Live TV’ I get video but no sound. Playing recordings using NPVR results in video but stuttering sound (OK for the first few seconds, then stuttering), however these recordings playback fine when I use a Zoom Player or Media Player Classic.

At the moment, I am mostly concerned with no-sound in Live TV playback as I can use a third party player for recordings playback.

I’ve applied the latest R1 patches and have deleted and imported the channels several times, each time making sure the HDMI inputs are selected before doing so.

It appears it could be a decoder issue, and I’ve played around with decoders but to no avail. Current filters I’ve tried are:

H.264 decoder – ArcSoft Video decoder, Main Concept AVC/H264 decoder, Microsoft DTV-DVD Video decoder
MPEG1 Audio – AC3Filter, AC3Filter, LAV Audio decoder, MPC Audio decoder
AC3 decoder – ArcSoft Audio decoder, AC3Filter, LAV Audio decoder, MPC Audio decoder
AAC decoder – ArcSoft Audio decoder, AC3Filter, LAV Audio decoder, Main Concept AAC Audio decoder
Renderers: Defaults.

I've been reading and I can't seem to determine whether the following is possible.

Can I capture Audio/video from my Directv H20 receiver via HDMI into my Colossus card?

I've been told by people NO and yet I see posts that indicate YES.

So far I haven't been able to succeed and at this point I just want to know if it's possible rather than troubleshooting. I know premium movies channels are a NO but what about the regular channels, CNN, ESPN, etc. All I'm getting is black screen and no sound.

Is it even possible?

current configuration, Colossus connected to set top box via component with optical. works fine in wintv, arcsoft, sage and Windows MC however for some reason I cannot get the audio to work in NextPVR. All 4 other options have some limitation or issue wintv and arcsoft not exactly what I'm looking for, sage discontinued and only trials available and MC causing some weird stutter on back to back recordings due to ehvid.exe

I have scanned the forum and tried a few different tests.

1) change for SPDIF to true
2) ensure I have the latest release
3) LVM audio codec
4) disabling enabling
5) removed an reinstalled 3 times (refresh settings)
6) added registry key AC3
7) recorded and checked if audio is captured, it is NOT

Hoping someone can help me out looks like NEXTPVR can offer exactly what I'm looking for.

I previously installed NPVR, SageDCT, and the Network Recorder plugin to get things working as referenced in this guide LINK

Since setting everything up, I found channel changing to be too slow compared to WMC. I figured that I've got the signal to and from the HDHR Prime going through a third party (SageDCT) and this might be slowing things down. I really don't know, just a guess. Anyway, I've heard on avsforums and this thread (LINK) that SageDCT is unnecessary with npvr.

Now that I've gotten an chance to change things up, I'd really like to get npvr working smoothly. I removed SageDCT, removed npvr, and deleted the public/npvr folder. Then I ran the HDHomerun config and changed the primary player to NPVR from WMC. Then I re-installed NPVR.

Now when I go to devices I see 9 tuners available, so I went about setting up the DCR-2650. The scan came back with several channels (I removed the ones not in my cable package) and I went about mapping a channel to Schedules Direct guide data. NPVR asked if I would like it to take a shot at filling in the rest, and it worked great. I went back the devices tab and copied the setup from HDHR Prime 131121B1-0 to the -1 and -2 tuners (I left the ATSC and QAM tuners alone)

Then over to the decoders tab, I set everything to LAV. (This is how I had everything working with SageDCT, and it tuned all my channels in live tv and recordings just fine) Then I went over to the Guide and attempted to tune a channel. No luck, but it did lock the tuner on the HDHRprime (One of three green lights came on). After locking the tuner for about 30 seconds I was given no Audio and no Video but instead a message saying the tuner was required for a recording. Would I like to switch to watching a recording, or exit back to the menu? Clicking the only option, "Exit back to menu" took me back to the menu about 20 seconds later. At the main menu, NPVR released the tuner (green light went out)

Now I think I should take a shot at the QAM tuners, so I started a scan. The only problem was none of the channels that came up had any sensible name or detail. They all appeared to be something similar to Name: Unknown 10.325 and Details: Freq: 10 SID:325

Tried tuning a channel once again, no dice. I went back and changed from the default render (which worked previously as EVR) to the next one down the list. Still nothing

I've attached the logs, but the system didn't wakeup from sleep to record.

On the Manage Recordings tab, if I only list Pending Recordings what is the difference between Cancel and Delete other than the option to multi-select with Delete?

So, I have my hvr 1800 working well with my STB!! Then I added the HDPVR but when I import the xml data (same file as the hvr1800) all the channel numbers get reorderd. So instead of having only 100 channels I get 200 channels and the HDPVR channel numbers are all renumbered so they are wrong. I want all my tuners to have the same xml file and same channels. I don't have to fix the numbers manually do I?

What am I missing?

I've updated with a picture...as you can see Number is 413 but the channel number is actually 2. Can someone also explain to me what number, name and details mean?
